I'm thinking of starting early this year because I so excited. Perhaps next week or the week after. Just gonna add so fun fall harvest accents to start. No Halloween decor till next month. When do you plan to start decorating if you do?

i don't. i mean, when i pick napkins for the table, i go for my more fall colored ones, same with kitchen towels, but i don't put out decorations. i switch to my comforter instead of a blanket in my BR, don't think that counts either though. eh, oh well, most of my stuff is orange or green anyway, i just happen to like those colors.

@blackbird: haha!!! Nice! And congrats on the new one brewing!!!
@mrs. bird: I have fall dish towels, place mats and table cloth. I have a pumpkin spice candle I burn. So sort of the same but in my case more goofy. I love fall so much.

Early september! I'm going to make a fall wreath and get out our fall towels. We bought some pumpkin tarts to warm and make the house smell yummy yesterday!

I'll switch to more fall scented candles as soon as the ones I have burn out. Otherwise I won't do any decorating till October for Halloween.

I'll decorate this week!! And follow that by baking everything pumpkin...then I'll be sick of pumpkin by the time fall actually arrives lol.

@yellowbird: ooh making a wreath sounds fun! Maybe tor will want to help/watch. Are you gonna make yours with A? I wanna see how it turns out.
@HLK208: mmm pumpkin everything! Make sure to post photos on Insta!

Probably not till it starts to get cooler... Plus I wait till the pumpkin patches to start to get the pumpkins for our front porch. I didn't have any wreaths last year but I kinda want to get one this year!

Never? Seasonal decorating is way too much work for me. I have enough trouble with regular old decorating.

@IRunForFun: what I do is pretty simple an minimal. Calling it decorating night be a but much. I just bring out tchotchkes really for the most part.

We are starting early this year. I'm already going to put out Halloween stuff. Lo's first birthday is October 8 and we will have everyone here for her party. I want things done as early as possible. Plus,I want her to be excited by all the things. I'm going to decorate early for Christmas too. I don't care what others think about it or what they will say.

I'll ask DH to bring down the bin this week, then I'll decorate over time. I have some fall stuff I'll put out right away, then I add Halloween/pumpkins, then the thanksgiving decorations. I always do a theme for the porch. I start with hay bales, mums, and metal buckets with wax apples, then I add my pumpkins and maybe cornerbacks on the pillars later in the season. I love decorating for the season!

@singingbee: I don't care either! I love doing stuff a bit early because it gives us more time to enjoy it! Especially now with LO - she gets so excited! I have a few decorations for each season/holiday I put in her room, too!

Thanks! I love the idea but those pumpkins would be up til summer, let's face it

I love fall decor! I have my decorating schedule pretty set, since DH and I both love to have the house decorated for each season/holiday.
Tomorrow (day after Labor Day) for fall. October 1 for Halloween. November 1 for thanksgiving. Day after Thanksgiving for Christmas. And February 1 and March 1 for Valentine's Day and St. Patrick's Day. Good Friday for Easter. May 1 for spring and day after the last day of school for summer.
Hahaha - that may have been way too much information! I just really love to decorate! I can't wait for tomorrow to pull out the fall decor

@JerricaBenton: I can't wait for lo to see everything. She is really getting into stuff and I am so excited to decorate for her now.

Most of my "fall decor" is halloween decorations so that will be for october but starting september first I will put up my new fall wreath I just made and get a new pumpkin spice candle:)

I'll probably decorate in a week or so. I have a wreath and I'll get some potted mums. I'm in canada so thanksgiving is early October and I like to have decorations up well before that. I'll maybe do some Halloween decorations after thanksgiving but I typically don't do much for that.

Not until October. It doesn't feel like fall here until then.

@MrsMccarthy: I will probably do it while she's sleeping. I like to craft but it's too hard with her awake carrying off my supplies and tangling everything up. If she wants to add a few things after its almost done that's okay though!

We're going on vacation the second week of September, so we will probably do it once we get back. I'm excited for fall, but more excited for our "summer" vacation!

We are going on vacation the week of the 15th, so I will probably do it the weekend after we get back. I can't decorate before we go to the beach!

All I do for fall is change out scented stuff (candles mostly) to fall related scents. I try to hold on to summer for as long as possible though so it's more like early October when I change things. I don't do any other decorating

I did Sunday couldn't resist, still need to set up my outside, I won't put any pumpkins out front until the end of this month. I love fall so I like to enjoy it for as long as possible!

We have one pumpkin on our porch because my MIL grew it in her garden and we visited over labor day, so she gave it to us. I want to make a fall wreath, but I need to get a few things for it. Maybe this weekend. I think that's all we will do until October when I'll put my bat decals on the front window for halloween!
honeydew / 7295 posts
@LuLu Mom: I couldn't either even though its supposed to be 95 degree on Sunday! It's nice and cool now that!
@Arden: it's a print of my favorite Tamara de Lempicka painting! Look her up! She is amazing. The one I have depicts a woman in the city. Very me in my NYC days.
@mrs. tictactoe: oh how cute! Maybe you can decorate one for each of your babies? I plan to do that! I may paint them so they last longer.

October. And what I mean by decorate is I put a fall wreath on our door.

@Mrs. High Heels: a fall wreath is a lovely way to decorate! Some people don't do anything! Do you make or buy it?
blogger / eggplant / 11551 posts
@MrsMccarthy: I got it from a neighbor's garage sale, and put it up every year! It's really cute! I, unfortunately, am not great at or enjoy DIY. I wish I was craftier!
GOLD / wonderful olive / 19030 posts
@MrsMccarthy: haha were having a cool front this weekend (although it's 85 degrees today) Wednesday it's down in the 50s-60s so I was like whatever I want it out!
