Aw congrats!!

We told: mom/step dad/ ILS on family vacation all together at 9.5 weeks. We didn't see them before that though.

After my 12 week US i told my dad, siblings, friends.

At 20 weeks I announced to FB. I'm on the slower end though from what I've seen friends do! I'm sure I would have told my family a bit earlier if I had seen them sooner.

ETA: a few people claim they "knew it" before I told them because my boobs wer bigger. My stomache wasn't showing much until 14 weeks or so. I could have hidden it.. I didn't tell my boss until 15 weeks!

We told DH's family at 9ish weeks because it was Father's Day, and we thought it would be fun to tell DH's Dad. We wrote a cute little saying about "being a Grandfather... AGAIN" because he already had grandchildren, but he thought we were talking about our niece who was born the prior December.

We told my family when I was 12ish weeks, because I had flown out to visit for a wedding (so it really just timed perfectly). For my immediate family I told them that "I can't come visit for Christmas, because you're not allowed to fly when you're 9 months pregnant." Then for everybody else I whispered it to my cousin's daughter, and she went around yelling it to everyone.

Then I was 'out' on FB at 13 weeks.

I was questionable by about 15 weeks, and obvious by 18. BUT I wasn't small by any means, so it was easy to hide it

Congratulations! I didn't really show at all until 20 weeks so I don't think you will necessarily show at 14 weeks. I bet you can hide until then if you are on board to tell everyone at Christmas. I think it could be a really nice surprise to wait if you feel like you can make it that far.

That being said, we didn't announce until after our NT scan at 12 weeks. We told people in person and on the phone but never announced on social media per se.

We told my parents and siblings at 6 weeks when we saw them. DH's family at 9 weeks when we saw them. Close friends 9-12 weeks, depending on when we saw them. Then the rest of my family at 15 weeks when we saw them. Told work at 15 weeks.

I would totally wait till Christmas and do some cute reveal that way.

We told DHs parents/siblings around 8 weeks because I was pretty sick and we were going to be spending a week with them. We told my family around 12 weeks since it was when we saw them in person. A few close friends found out at various times in my first trimester because we'd be out and I wouldn't be drinking.

I didn't start showing to the outside world until 18 weeks or so. Around this time I told my work and people were like I thought you looked like you were getting a little belly!

I'm 15.5 weeks and we still haven't announced! Well, our family knew at about 8 weeks but we still haven't told friends. And I'm not showing yet, really- just starting to look a little chubby in the middle. I also work from home and rarely meet with clients in person... so that helps in keeping my secret.

Christmas is sooooo far away. I say, tell your parents sooner! Not necessarily friends, but you can if you're comfortable. Maybe Thanksgiving? You could do something like, "Expecting our little Turkey..." or a pic of your bump (if you do start showing early) that says something like, "Not a food baby, it's the real deal"...

I only have cheesy ideas... maybe that's why we haven't told anyone!

congratulations! we announced to family somewhat early - but, I didn't noticeably show until closer to 20 weeks

We announced to family at 5 weeks (we were doing fertility treatments, so they knew that we were trying), and close friends at 7 weeks, but only becuase we had super early ultrasounds due to the treatments. We announced on Facebook at 12 weeks (and after 3 ultraounds).

I didn't start showing until around 14 weeks, and it wasn't noticable unless I was buck naked,, and even then it was only to me. I was carrying twins, too.

We told my family right away and then waited until our first appointment to tell the rest of our families. We didn't announce to the public until we were about 11 weeks and then a Facebook announcement until 22 weeks. I was showing by 13 weeks, but this pregnancy was my second. We lost our first one at 20
Weeks and I was showing with that one by 16 weeks. Depending on your body type; you probably won't being showing until your second trimester--around 16-20 weeks.

We waited until I was out of the first trimester.

@Mrs.Ham: Thanksgiving is the perfect time between now & then!! We told family very early, and announced on social media after the 2nd trimester started. It's so fun to share, and I know you guys will make the right choice for yourselves!

With #1 we told parents and like 5 others at 12w. Started telling others at 18, 19w and went on facebook at 23w!

I am 13w with #2 and parents still don't know. Three people do know (plus HB!) We are planning Nov 23rd weekend when DHs parents are in town.

Showing is of course different for everyone, I was easily hiding it up to about 17w with #1. In hindsight I probably could have made it work until 22w or so. Now I am already struggling, but not ready to be pregnant to others yet so determined to hide it!

we told my parents right away and dh's at 6 weeks. we're at almost 17 weeks and I still haven't announced on fb though we told some of our closest friends around 7 and 10 weeks. at 12 weeks we started telling more friends and family. i told my graduate school advisors around 13 weeks as well.

as for showing, I noticed it for myself around 9 or 10 weeks or so (though non-maternity clothes were uncomfortable for me right away!), but at 17 weeks now I think depending on what I'm wearing, if you don't know me you wouldn't be able to tell quite yet. It's getting more obvious though!

We announced it to our family and really close friends right away, I pretty much went MIA from all day sickness and there was no good explanation for it.

First off, CONGRATULATIONS!!!

We told both sides of the family after we had our first ultrasound and saw a heartbeat.

I told my boss after my NT scan at 12 weeks.

We told "the world" at 16 weeks.

I told me mom right away (like, the day I tested) because I was freaking out (I'd had a recent miscarriage).

We told my ILs with on Christmas (I was just over 7 weeks) with a poem that I framed, wrapped, and put under the tree with our Yankee Swap gifts. We had hoped to be able to wrap an U/S picture, but we weren't able to get in until the week after and I didn't want to miss the chance to tell everyone together and in person.

We told my dad and stepmom after our U/S, via phone, as well as the rest of my siblings, and announced on FB after my NT scan at 13 weeks.

As for showing, I didn't start to show until 18-19 weeks and it wasn't clear it was a baby bump until 21. It was easily covered until then.
