So I keep hearing a lot of love for OPI but at $7-$8 a bottle that's more than I want to spend.
Does anyone know of somewhere to get them cheaper? When I do get polish I pay $2-3 drugstore polish.
Why the love for OPI btw? Do they chip less?

The color I think is more true and the polish lasts longer with less chipping. I almost always do OPI or Essie because of this!

I like Essie as much as OPI. I bought some Essie for $5 each on amazon.

If you sign up for CVS's email list you usually get 25%-30% coupons and that's when I get my Essie nail polishes.

My mom is a licensed cosmetologist (she keeps the license just for the discounts!) so we go to the beauty supply stores where OPI and Essie is $2-4 a bottle. That's how I get Pureology shampoo/conditioner cheap, too.

Ulta with coupons and/or BOGO. I prefer Opi over them all. Essie has better colors, in my opinion, but I don't think they apply as well or last as long. I also use Zoya and China Glaze, but again, I just don't think they apply as well as Opi. Zoya chips fairly easily, too. And OPI seems to hold up better in the bottle...never seems to gum up with repeated use. I swear I can only use Essie like 3 times before it starts to thicken in the bottle.

@locavore_mama: I was wondering the same thing recently. I always hear about OPI or Essie but I saw it in the store for $7-8 a bottle. I think I saw it at Nordstrom Rack and it was still at a price that I was not willing to pay.
All of my nail polish were all purchased on sale for $3 a bottle. I like scouring the clearance areas at Target.

I've ordered it on amazon for a slight discount and my hair stylist is a friend, so he gets a discount & he'll buy it for me at the salon where he works.

I think you can usually find GREAT OPI selection at Nordstrom Rack's. I've seen their rack and it's as full as Ulta's. I don't buy OPI anymore... they won't allow Ulta coupons anymore (as if they're "prestige..." right.) and are like $9+. Not worth it- I'd rather buy Essie/Zoya/China Glaze at Ulta with a coupon, all of those are pretty much $8 pre discount(s).

I only buy the clearances colors or a coupon or when they are in a gift set or something. I get mine from the JCP nail salon.

I buy them at Ulta now, but when I was buying several at a time I bought off EBay. My favorite polishes are OPI, Zoya, Essie and Ciate.

@keiki_mama: I don't know. I just bought 3 new colors last month. I'm going to get a silver glitter top coat since I can add that to any of the colors I already own.
Oh, I like 'Leaf him at the alter'. It's a metallic vine green color.I don't know if I can pick any more. Why don't they make the swatches larger so I can decide.

@bluestriped bee: I google swatches.. There are a few blogs who post pics. I've avoided buying 100+ polishes since I've started googling swatches.. They're also pretty good about spotting dupes.
