Which boy's name do you prefer? Calvin or Cannon? Last name sounds like Rottweiler.
I like the sound of Cannon, but I don't like how it is a word name. These are the only two names we agree on after mutually deciding not to name DS "the third". And our naming styles are so different that I really don't see us agreeing on anything else.

I like the spelling Canon better- like the camera brand and is not spelled like the weapon.

May I suggest Callan? That’s our boys name; it’s kind of combo of your two choices. It’s an old Gaelic name.

@SproutBee: I will have to suggest it... I like it! My top choices are Callum and Gannon. Calvin and Cannon are OH's spin on those. Sooooo much better than anything else he has been suggesting.

@Ms. RV: i voted Calvin but i like Gannon much better then cannon! Not exactly similar but we named our son Clark. We literally named him days after birth because we could not agree (read: my husband suggested Bruce)

@Ms. RV: I agree w the others that I prefer Callum and Gannon over your hubbys choices. Callan was literally the only name my husband agreed with of alllllll the names I suggested. Luckily I really liked it too. Good luck!

I couldn't ever name someone after a weapon or a brand...So Calvin for sure.

Out of all the names listed, I like Callan best. I voted for Calvin because I also dislike the weapon association with Cannon find it to be an odd choice for that reason.

Soooo... he came up with Cannon in the car after I told him I was making colcannon with dinner. Then later I noticed that Cannon is the brand of our safe. Yeah. No. Never mind.
I am only 21 weeks, so we have time, but right now it looks like DS will be transferred to a different hospital immediately after birth so it is important to me that he has a name well before birth.
@gotkimchi: I feel your pain. He suggested Horatio. He is Scotch/German, and I am Scotch/German/Polish. Horatio doesn't fit in there. 
@PinkElephant: Callum has the same meaning as the root of my last name which is why I love it so much.
