You, your SO, or a housecleaner?
We have a cleaner come in now and then, but we've cut back because of the cost of childcare... and so now one of us will sometimes have to roll up our sleeves and dig in. It's so much harder because we have to hide all the cleaning supplies so Charlie doesn't play with them!

We both do. I usually do most of the household cleaning. DH cleans and steams the floors though

Toilets gross me out, and I cannot clean them. Luckily my husband takes over that task, but I have to ask him 10 times before he cleans it.

We used to argue about this all the time since neither of us likes to do it and we solved it by hiring a housecleaner. Now, one less argument.

This is my job. DH will help with cleaning if asked, but is not a fan of cleaning the bathroom.

My DH, we made an agreement when we moved in together that I would happily do all the laundry (wash, fold and put away) which he hates doing as long as he would clean the whole bathroom....... the best bargin I have ever made!

Me. Ugh. So gross.
I had a maid come once to do an all-over really deep cleaning. It was great, but it only lasted a few days, so I can't decide if it was worth it.

DH won't go near the toilet, except to use it I have never minded cleaning the toilet so it is my designated job. We have never had a house cleaner because we've never lived in larger than a 1 bedroom apartment, so it doesn't really make sense. It takes us about an hour a week to clean top to bottom, no biggie.

I really don't mean cleaning the toilets though. I find it to be a really easy job. What I hate is scrubbing the shower!

I can't do bathrooms. my hands feel all tingly just thinking about it, yuck. so the husbone does, at his convenience.

My husband does. He's pretty great.
He's much more of a clean freak than I am, and I will go much longer without (deep) cleaning certain things than he will. So he just does it himself usually. However, I exclusively do the laundry, cooking, vacuuming, dusting, and other little things like that.

I do. My husband has never once cleaned a toilet. It grosses him out too much. I'm pretty sure in his bachelor days he never cleaned his bathroom at all. Ewww

I do and I HATE it so much. I hate the toilet. I hate it toilet so much that once when I was sick and needed to barf, the thought of sticking my head in the toilet MADE me throw up but I did it in the bathtub instead. Am I gross?

Me, every single Thursday! Unless it is week like this one where we have plans tomorrow so I did it today. I have a "chore chart" that I made myself to stay on top of all the cleaning!

The bathrooms are my husband's job. The toilets get a weird ring if they don't get cleaned at least every 1.5 weeks or so. That ends up providing a pretty good reminder that the whole bathroom needs it; which reminds me that I need to vacuum. Which sucks a lot, since we have four flights of carpeted stairs and three shedding pets. I just might trade him for the bathrooms one day.

DH does right now. He doesn't want me inhaling any of the chemicals. I'm sure after LO is here he would be more than happy to relinquish that duty to me.

@mrbee: It's reddish/pink; I have never known what caused it, but your question inspired me to google it, and I found this:

So I guess it's bacteria. My husband put in some of those 2000 flushes things in our toilet tank this weekend, so maybe that will be the end of the weird ring.

@mrbee: Ha, I think it's just the same stuff as the "soap scum" that develops in between shower tiles! I'd think that having changed the diapers of two kids, you wouldn't be so easily grossed out

Now I will scrub the toilet more often, so I guess it's a good thing I know!

I am surprised to say that the bowl is much cleaner longer and doesn't need as much scrubbing as often. There is no ring.

I think this is the one chore that we split equally. I try to keep it clean on a weekly basis, but DH does a deep clean when we have our big cleaning sessions.

We both have a bathroom, equipped with a toilet brush. We clean our own.
