@Mrs. Bee: Meryl Streep takes the subway?? It's like a "Celebrities, they're just like us" moment!

I physically ran into Julia stiles once when we were crossing the street (she went to Columbia and I was attending Barnard in NYC). Trey Anastasio from Phish hit on me once at a bar. It was creepy. I was with a guy at the time but he thought it was the coolest thing ever and offered me no help in trying to escape.

I live in central IL so.... No one! Although my senator has recently gained a bit of notoriety and I used to see him out and about at bars from time to time.

Lebron James! He asked me to go to the club with him- well his bodyguard asked for him. (they hung out with jay z and Beyoncé that night) but my mom made me say no! I was just 18 though.

My husband and I had tacos and burritos with Leonardo DiCaprio and Giselle (back when they were together). It was in his old neighborhood in LA and I asked this guy if he had ordered yet - turns out, it was Leo. And then we were sitting in this tiny shack next to them and I couldn't figure out a way to let my husband know who we were sitting right next to! It was my most favorite celebrity sighting. I also love knowing that Giselle eats burritos
We also like to say "we had dinner with Pierce Brosnan". He was eating in the restaurant at the table behind us when we were doing our menu tasting for our wedding. My husband could have knocked my chair backwards and I would have fallen into Pierce. We actually discussed doing it...but of course, tried to just act cool

Oh! And my girlfriends and I saw Zach Braff and Mandy Moore in LA at the cafe we were at. Back when they were together. And my husband and I saw Keanu Reeves at one of our favorite brunch places. He just rolled up on his motorcycle and popped in for a coffee.
I miss living in LA...

@Bao: @littlebug: hehe ya, we grew up in the same neighborhood in grade school and stayed in touch throughout the rest of our school years! I usually see him around Thanksgiving time. True midwestern, 'burbs man! He comes home to see his parents a lot!

I met Charlie Sheen at the Magic Castle in Hollywood. I have a terrible poker face he saw me starting at him leaned over and whispered "no it isn't him. Must be someone else." Then gave me a big smile and headed off with his buddies. Weirdest moment ever....

I sat behind Danny Glover on a long-haul flight from Ecuador to the US (he flies coach!). I remember waiting for the flight to board in Quito, and they announced a list of people that needed to further check-in at the desk. One of the names was Daniel Glover, and I thought to myself "haha, he has the same name as the actor" until I saw Actual Danny Glover check in at the desk. He was sitting in the row in front of me, and I wound up standing behind him in customs, too!
I also once stopped and waved for a couple to cross the street in front of my car before turning right. When they turned to give the courtesy thank-you wave I realized it was William H. Macy & Felicity Huffman!! She is beautiful and he is a tiny wisp of a man, ha.

All of your celebrity run-ins are far more exciting than mine!
I've met Bill Clinton before who is very charming. And before his demise over the "I was there" scandal, I'd met Brian Williams. He was hilarious and a lot of fun to be around. I was a little sad for him once that story broke.

I'm not observant when I go places so I wouldn't probably notice if they walked right by me. Haha. I'm focused on where we are going, not on the people.
When DH and I went to NYC one day, he said he saw the actor that played the Fonz.
When we were at Disney World, DH said we saw a someone famous (B/C lister). I don't remember his name.

Lots of sightings and not much interaction:
Taye Diggs and Idina Menzel more than once when they were still together
Matt Dillon 2x, once at a restaurant and another time in a coffee shop
Heidi Klum & Seal walking down the street – I recognized her and she gave me thinks look like “You better not say anything”
Ivanka Trump – I stepped in front of her on the sidewalk when she was alwking out iof a fashion show at Bryant park when Fashion Week was still there
Carson Kressley multiple times – I think I worked in his neighborhood
Sarah Gilbert – went to college with her
Kelly Martin – met her at a college party. She was nice and was dating my ex-broyfriend’s roommate at the time
Spike Lee – seen him multiple times including a time he looked directly at me and smiled.
Gov. Andrew Cuomo (does he count?) – he did a double take (hey, what can I say?) This was before he was Governor and was the Attorney General), we were at a party
Jamie Foxx – Years ago, pre-Ray, stumbling out of a bar on the Sunset Strip. He kept staring at me and was totally drunk and staumbling.
Chris Hayes from MSNBC getting coffee while I was having brunch
Those are the ones I can remember.

No run ins. I was a senate page so I've met a bunch of senators. I held the door for Hilary Clinton! Christie Carlson Romano worked in the hill at the time too.
Other than that, just our local politicians, haha. Our Lt Gov gave me her spaghetti sauce recipe in line at Safeway once.

Been fun reading these! I won a radio station contest maybe 4 years ago (??) to have a chance to win Katy Perry's car. Brought my husband and yeah, didn't win. She was pretty funny/sarcastic in person (think my husband said she was annoying) haha.

Ha. So far just entire cast of Grimm- they all seem to live in Portland where the show is filmed.

Nothing too exciting but not too long after the John Edwards cheating scandal I almost ran into him (like physically ran into him) at the mall. He was wearing really short running shorts and looked like he had run to the mall from his house (not a short run)!

Koby Bryant (in a hotel while I was attending a conference), George Bush Sr. (at our AF base when I was little), the then President of Bulgaria (random very odd experience, shook his hand and had a short conversation about America)... The guy from Myth Busters (at Taco Bell!), and the guy from Leverage (in the Vienna airport).

I once ran into Lena Dunham while walking into my job - I didn't know about her and Girls at the time (but now am obsessed). She was giving a talk where I worked.
And freshman year in college, I had class with Rob Brown (from Coach Carter, Finding Forrester). I've never seen any of his movies though.
blogger / pineapple / 12381 posts
@Andrea: Danny Glover almost ran over me with his car in the Upper Haight (he lived a block and a half up from me). He was a jerk about it. I had the crosswalk and he blew through it speeding. Came really close to crushing me, yet he flipped me off and shouted obscenities.
Drank with Matt Dillon on the Lower East Side.
Was an extra in a Christian Slater movie and he was chatting me up in the catering line. I didn't recognize him and totally blew him off. He really ate that up.
John C. Riley (boogie nights) and I literally crashed into each other running to catch planes in LAX. I ended up totally sprawled out all over the floor.
Ty Burrell and Reid Ewing (Haley's old boyfriend) live in my neighborhood. Reid has four beagles and can often be heard walking down my street yelling at one "Odin!!!!" Odin is a feisty beagle!

Oh, and Ed Hardy...LOL, does he count as a celebrity? He came to my job for a talk too, and sat down and had some of my wedding cake in my office (that my co-workers bought for me right before I left for my wedding week)

Going down the escalator while Michael Jackson was coming up the other side. That's gotta be the best one for me.
Justin Timberlake and Alyssa Milsno while they were dating. Talked to Jason Segel at the airport. Actually seen quite a few people at airports but I can't remember. Hayden Pannetiere in L.A. Rihanna on the beach at our hotel (but she was a total B*).
