The opening was amazing - I was so confused for the first few minutes. I'm happy to see that Arya might be gaining some more screen time this season, as she's getting older and really holding her own.

Some thoughts from the episode:
I love that Arya is BACK. "Winter came for House Frey". So satisfying!!
Is the house that the hound and his companions (I can't remember their names) stopped at the house where he and Arya stopped together?
Why the F is Ed Sheeran in this show now??
I need more dragon Queen. That was not nearly enough.

@mediagirl: I had to google it, but YES - that house is the Hound & Arya stopped at when they were together... The farmer that offered him a job, then he beat him & stole his silver, remember? Sad...
i HATED that ed sheeran made an appearance. so dumb, the show doesn't need celebrity guest appearances... it really took me OUT of the show. ugh. I'm hoping that was it.

Ed Sheeran was a cameo as a surprise for Maisie Williams because she's a huge fan. I don't think we'll see him again. There are so many memes about it and he deleted his twitter account!

@Mrs. Pickle: poor guy, I feel bad for him! I understand why people were annoyed, but it doesn't really matter that much. Plus the scene itself was important for Arya.

did you all notice the darker clothing? Everyone is ready for battle.
I didn't mind Ed Sheeran although I didn't notice who he was until DH pointed him out. I'm sure I know his music, but not necessarily that it's him singing. The Kings Landing soldiers were interesting in that they are not happy to fight. Jon Snow's followers and Khaleesi's have something to prove and protect.

I loved the opening scene with Arya. I loved when she said, "Winter came for house Frey." I was like, "Yes!"
I loved the scene where Beric and the Hound buried the farmer and his daughter. It really showed how much the Hound has changed. I am interested to see why Beric keeps being brought back to life.
The Ed Sheeran thing didn't bother me too much. The only issue I had was that seeing it pulled me out of the episode so it didn't really feel like Game of Thrones. The scene was important for Arya though because I think it brought some humanity back to her character.
Also. Daenerys landing at Dragonstone! FINALLY! That was awesome. So excited to see what is in store for her. I am most looking forward to her and Jon Snow meeting for the first time.

That last scene in tonight's episode was crazy! I was hoping to see Theon at least try to save his sister, but after everything he's been through, I'm not surprised.
I am anxiously waiting for Jon Snow and Daenerys to meet. -
@imadreamer: I feel like by running away he actually saved her (for now). B/c obviously if he was running towards them, Euron would have def slashed her throat! That battle was just brutal! And the whole thing with Jorah/Sam was so gross!

@snowjewelz: I thought the same thing about Theon, but then my husband pointed out that he thought his sister was killed and hanging from the ship. I'm not sure if we are supposed to think she's dead or not.
I couldn't watch the scene with Sam. I covered my eyes. So gross.

@PeaceLily: I'm pretty sure that was two sand snakes. The one Euron was strangling with her whip is the one who was hanging. I think Yara is still alive and with Euron.
The greyscale scene was so nasty! I couldn't watch. I'm excited that Arya's heading back ro Winterfell. I hope she makes it soon. Also I can't wait for the Dany and Jon scene.

As much as I love that Arya is going back to Winterfell, anyone think it'll be how Nymeria was? She's been in the "wild" for a long time and is practically "no one." I wonder if she'll WANT to stay in Winterfell...

@Mrs. Oreo: yeah, I guess I never assumed she'd stay in Winterfell? She has never been one to just sit around anyway, so it wouldn't stay with her character. But I was happy that she actually went toward Winterfell instead of KL, since it shows she's still very much a Stark!

The Jorah scene was horrible!!
I never really thought about the whole Aria/Nymeria thing as symbolism for how Aria has changed, etc. Sad! Either way, I'm so happy she's going back to Winterfell!
@snowjewelz: My husband and I both wonder why Little Finger is still even in the show. There was a time (a few seasons back) when I found him intriguing, but now he seems like someone that didn't get the memo he's not supposed to be around anymore.

We just watched last night. I was really glad that Aria is headed back to Winterfell, and sad that she will miss Jon. Does anyone know why nobody on the Wall has sent a raven to Winterfell telling them that Bran is still alive? I'm hoping they will all be reunited this season.

The Ironborn attack at the end was crazy. I mean there are so many stakeholders that were killed off. This means war! lol

That ending was crazy...and stupid all at once. I can't believe they just showed up out of nowhere and no one had a clue. Theon was disappointing, but it almost seems like the right thing to do because I think their uncle would've killed Yara if he tried to come at them.
This show is too much for me sometimes.
I just want Daenarys and Jon to meet already.
