My waterproof uggs bit the dust yesterday. The zipper came apart and I cannot get it back together.
Please recommend a waterproof winter boot. I live in NYC. I need something that comes a little above the ankle.

Were those the adirondacks? I heard awesoem things about them.
I just got (several weeks ago) the sorel caribou boots and i really like them! Definitely bulky/heavy though, but super warm and good traction

I have been happy with my Sorel Joan of Arctics. We had a really mild winter this year but a few winters ago I wore them every day for two months.

Muck boots are great but they don't have a lot of support. My winter boots just bit the dust and Muck are my next pair.

@hilsy85: no they were ugg type boots but more narrow and they were actually waterproof. I would love to get another but I cannot seem to find them.
