J's preschool does a "summer camp" session. Basically the same thing as preschool but with less kids. Since my husband doesn't work during the day most days, J's there twice a week and spends the other days at the playground and/or pool with his dad. I'm so jealous!

Camp, at the same location where he attended preschool last year, and will attend next year.
I love this place, and I hope he continues to as well, as I could see him going to camp here at least through 5th grade.

DH works from home, so D is home with him. He's also going on vacation with my parents for a week starting this Saturday. We're just trying to keep him busy.

My DD is in a bunch of camps this summer. I think she is in 7 different camps and there are 11 weeks of summer. I'm taking 2 weeks of PTO, and my DH is taking one week of PTO, and my parents are watching her one week. Does that get us to 11? I hope so.. Most of the camps end around 3 so I am able to pick her up because that's when I get off work. I also carpool with a few other families when our kids are in the same camp.

@T-Mom: LOL! It does get to 11. I like your set up. My niece and nephews will be in summer school. My niece's is free through NYC a education via lottery. She's got next week off then summer school then she's in China for most of August till school starts in September.

@regberadaisy: That's so cool that your niece gets to spend some time overseas this summer! That is my dream for my kids.. to spend one month every summer overseas. I need to start working on that plan, haha...

@T-Mom: my brother -her dad- is addicted to going back to China. So he gets the itch every other year or so. My mom is going with his whole family. I'm jealous!

Our daycare operates on the school calendar, so they closed for the summer, but they are having a summer session Tues/Thurs. It was closed for a week before the summer session began, though, and closed this week for VBS, and they will close AGAIN before the fall session. My mom is helping out and we have an awesome sitter in the neighborhood to fill in the gaps.

We are also doing a camp! The kids are going together, which they love - and which makes dropoff and pickup so much easier!!
