I voted maybe... If it passes all the safety tests/requirements with flying colors and proves itself to function the same w/ regular carseats!

If it passes safety standards, yes.
Totally fascinating that this is even remotely a possibility. I can't wrap my brain around how this would be as protective as steel, though.

If it was rated well and met the standards, I would. We already use an inflatable booster for travel...

That's fascinating! If it could be proven to be safe, heck yeah I'd use it. I'm already dreading carrying our car seat through the airport...

@T-Mom: I had no idea an inflatable booster existed! That's pretty convenient.
@CupQuakeWalk: I'm picturing a LOOK from you.

@Freckles: It's called a Bubble Bum and it's awesome. Saves me from having to haul around 2 car seats!

Like other mommas mentioned, if it passes the safety testing, then yes!! I hate carrying DS's bucket seat through the airport when I travel alone. So dang heavy because I refuse to check luggage so luggage + car seat + DS = uber super duper heavy!

I would yes, assuming it met minimum safety requirements.
Another option is the Ride Safer Travel Vest.
