One of our neighbors when I was a child was a foster parent. They always had so many kids at their house. Thinking back on it now, I am so amazed at the strength those parents had to have to have biological and foster children. I don't think I could do it.

If we were living in the USA long term? Absolutely.
I've actually thought before about serving as a doula for incarcerated mothers and then doing foster care for babies of women in prison, caring for them until they are out and rehabilitated and can take their children back.

DH and I have seriously discussed fostering once our biological children are out of the house. It's something we feel pretty strongly about.

We have considered it and may do so at some point! I think we would want to foster to adopt.

I would but my DH isn't sure about it. I have an Aunt that did foster to adopt with all three of her kids. I've had a lot of experience with the foster system and some of the kids/teens just get lost in there. I would love to help out the older ones someday.
