Liam turns 3 on March 30th. I know it's six months away, but I love planning parties and can't help myself. I'm due with baby #2 on February 25th.

Liam loves firetrucks and they are putting in a new park a few blocks away from our house that will have a big firetruck play structure. It is at the site of an old fire station, so they are keeping with that theme. I really want to plan to have Liam's party there, but I'm worried it will be too much for me with a one month old.

Also, as I start to make the list of who I would invite, it's so hard to keep it small. I'd want to invite kids from preschool, too, and with all of our friends and family who we'd like to invite, it would end up being a ton of people (15+ of just kids of our friends and family and there are 10 kids in his class).

After having big parties for Liam's first and second birthdays, I swore I wouldn't have one for his third, but now that this park is going in, I'm having a really hard time telling myself no!

To make it easier, I was thinking I would do plastic fire fighter hats as favors (cheap from oriental trading and nothing to assemble), having it in the morning and just having bagels, donuts, fruit, coffee, and juice, and minimal decorations (maybe some balloons and a pinata).
