I often watch Charlie and Olive interact and think about how much birth order affects your personality. I'm an oldest, and I've always wanted to be a youngest! I think they have it easier.
What about you?

Im a youngest... I'll totally stay there. Parents are more realistic and less uptight about stuff by the time you're a couple kids in.

Oldest, which I am. Not being compared, etc. kind of always felt I got to pave my own way.

I was the youngest and only girl. I liked it and couldn't imagine it any other way.

I'm the middle and I'm fine with it. I would say that during my teenage years, my mom and I had kind of a strained relationship in some ways--but that's more because my mom is a 1960's throwback who had totally different expectations for me vs. my brother (who was 22 months older) and we would fight constantly about that. Like I had to do my own laundry, clean the house every weekend, etc etc while my brother "had to work on his schoolwork" or "had to go to a friend's birthday party".
But strangely, after I wasn't a teenager any more that totally went away and my mom joined the 21st century.

I'm the youngest, and looking back, am very happy about it. At the time though, not so much. My parents learned from their mistakes with my older siblings, so they were much stricter on me. BUT- to that end, I am the responsible one with a good job and great family. I was also very pampered because I am 5 years younger than my closest sibling, so I got to experience middle school and high school as an only child.

I'm the oldest, and I like it now, but I had a lot of pressure to succeed when I was younger. I was generally under a microscope, while my younger siblings got away with murder. I would probably choose to be the youngest, if I could!
