I would prefer for my son to go to the same elementary school I went to. They have an excellent gifted program and overall it's a very great school. We still live in the same town but he will go to DH's old elementary school because of where we live. I've heard good things though so I'm okay with it.

He will go to DH's middle and high school. I'm glad. I went to the opposite school and mine is in much worse shape (all around) than DH's. It's a much better choice!

DH and I both went to community college. Not downing community college but I hope to send my kids to a university so they will be able to take college more seriously. For DH and I, it was work and make money and establish yourself and get a degree on the side, even when we were 18-19 years old. I want to put my kids education first.

Elementary - I went to three and would definitely send them to the last one.

Middle - Definitely. It had a planetarium.

High school 1 - Not in a million years
High school 2 - Probably. My bad experiences had to do with my classmates, not the quality of the schooling.

I went to catholic school from k-12. One of my elementary schools closed down and I would probably send them to the other. I have sons so they can't go to my all girls high school. But if I had girls, most definitely. And I would love for them to go to my college!

Elementary - Yes, if it were similar to what it used to be. It was a new school with great teachers.

Jr. High - Yes! Great teachers, small classrooms, close friendships.

Highschool - No. It wouldn't be my choice. Although, my parents let me choose my highschool, so I would probably do the same.

I would send my daughters to my k-12 school (all in a small town) it's one of the top rated in the state. We are planning on sending them to DH's school and it's good, but not AS good.

College, I would send them because it's a great school, but geesh private college is EXPENSIVE! Both DH and I attended the 2 most expensive schools in the state, and still paying them off.

I went to 3 elementary schools. I would absolutely send my kids to my first school because they have a great gifted prep class. They also have the best rate of getting kids into the gifted middle and high school.
The middle school I attended is now gone but I did have some great teachers.
I attended two high schools. I would send my kids to the one I graduated from. The other was less then awesome standards wise. I did have a great time there, it's just I know what I got away with.
In terms of college I have been through a couple different schools. I wish I would have taken a year off and really thought about what I wanted. We won't be pushing them into college right after school. If they want to go great, if they are still finding themselves so to speak that will be ok too.

No. I went to private, Catholic schools K-12. They weren't bad schools by any means, but we're not religious and don't want our LO going to religiously-affiliated schools. Also, we moved to an area with great public schools, so I think she'll actually get a better education in the public schools than I got.

Elementary school: definitely - loved the teachers there!
Middle school - It's starting to become iffy with drugs and violence, so I wouldn't send him there.
High school - right next to the middle school - downhill with drugs and violence, so no go there either
College - loved my college experience, so yes, definitely!

yes to all of them: K-college! junior high was hard, but i feel like it's that way for everyone in 7th and 8th grade!

I went to good schools and had great teachers. But DH did not have the best experience. we both had a great college experience but will encourage LO to go where ever he wants for that depending on his interests.

No, I wouldn't. It's something I struggle with though, because I did attend those schools and I am not a menace to society, so there has to be something redeeming about them, right?

If my son follows my plan for him, he will attend the local elementary school up through 5th grade. At that point, we will likely move and it's either to a neighboring town or abroad.

No! My high school was full of drugs and gang violence. There wasn't enough textbooks in some classes for us to take them home.

Definitely. I went to all public schools and am really hoping to be able to send my kids to public schools. I was lucky that I grew up in a great school system. I would especially love to send my kids to my high school, which has been ranked no. 1 in the country. But I kind of doubt we'll be living in my home town when I have kids in school, so I guess we'll just have to see how our local schools pan out

Nope! NEVER! Except college- it was a great school.

Catholic school first-eighth and high school, as well. Would definitely send my kids there. I really like the Catholic school model of not having a separate middle school, personally.

In a heartbeat, it's still one the best public school districts across the nation!

Elementary- yes! Well, if I could afford it, just looked up current tuition, lower grades are $19,600 & then middle is $21,900. I'd love to send them there, it was such a wonderful experience, but it'll never happen

Middle- yes. I started public school in the middle of middle school, it's one of the best in the state, my dad teaches there now, so I guess that could be weird, but it's a great school.

High school- yes! Also a high ranking school.

College: I've been to four. I'd be okay with two of them, accepting of one, and one would piss me off.
