Is there any way you can use miles to upgrade to first or business class? We took a red eye from Alaska (part of a 3 flight return trip) when I was about 20 weeks pregnant. It was rough but having the extra leg room made such a huge difference (and it was from miles- no way would we have paid for it- the miles were our Christmas present from FIL). Can you usually sleep on planes? I never can but if normally you can, then maybe you still could pregnant.

I would say it's doable but especially if you can upgrade.

I would do the red eye flight, but I'm not sure that after that I could handle the 1.5 hour train ride followed by the 1.5 hour taxi ride. All on very little sleep. I'd probably go somewhere else but I'm a wimp .

Yes, go for it! I mean not that I have any personal experience haha. But my friend took a trip to a few different European cities at that point last summer and had a great time. I think they did Vienna, Prague and one other i can't remember.

I did this at 26 and 28 weeks pregnant! I wouldn't call it *fun* but it wasn't that bad. Make sure to wear compression stockings, although I mainly just swelled on the flight back. I would just make sure you can get into your hotel early once you arrive at your destination city so you have the opportunity to nap and leave your bags. And people were so gracious at giving up their seats on subways and trams for me - I think you'll be fine!

Do it! You can nap on the plane, train, and in the cab. I took an overnight flight to Vegas (5 hours) at 28 weeks and was fine.

Girl, a 6 day vacation in Europe without a toddler....not even a question. Red eyes suck, but travel at any point during pregnancy is going to be hard to some degree. I am also a travel enabler, so I say do it!

I feel like 6 months pregnant is the sweet spot of pregnancy, so no better time to do it!

My grandpa passed away and the funeral was in Europe. There was no way I could hack a flight that long while 6 months pregnant, so I couldnt go.

Totally do it! Flying without a child in tow is a piece of cake, red eye or not. I just took the redeye from Chicago to London last week with my 23 month old and 3.5 yr old, solo, whilst four months pregnant and THAT was hell, but only because of my toddler screaming the entire flight. The pregnancy was a total non factor, and even that aside, I spent one day relaxing and taking it easy before getting right back into the swing of school runs, parenting solo all day, committee meetings etc. I know you'll be six months pregnant, not four, but with my last two, I still felt like a million bucks at six months pregnant.

And yes, I second others, where is this magical place? We were thinking of baby mooning in Paris in April but it hasn't been booked yet - still open to other options!

@lamariniere: oh I know, I fly to Europe a lot too! But there are a few flights that are during the day-- that's why I mentioned the virgin Atlantic flight specifically. Left jfk around 8am and go to heathrow at 8pm.

@lamariniere: it might be! Delta only has night flights to London and so does British air. My husband is always fine with red eyes but I just can't handle them. I hope more airlines start having the day time flights. It wastes a day but makes the jet lag so much more bearable

I'd do it! Wear compression stockings on the flight though, to keep your leg circulation going, and get up and walk around as much as you can when you're awake.

@JoJoGirl: Do it!! Unless you really hate flying with a passion or are having a high risk pregnancy, you absolutely won't regret it! What is 8 hrs on a plane compared to a week in beautiful Italy?
