My LO is 3 and she has a tricycle but we want to get her a bike. Did you buy your LO a balance bike or a traditional bike with pedals?

My brother gifted J a balance bike (Strider) for his 2nd birthday and for his 3rd birthday he got him a regular bike with training wheels. (My brother works in a bike shop, haha)
J was really good with the balance bike last summer. We've had too much snow to try the new bike.

Balance bike. My son has had one since 18 months and we just hunted down a pedal bike at Christmas 3.5 years old and he is a pro. No training wheels at all. Our friends with training wheels still have them on after a few years.

E has (and loves) a balance bike (we went with the Kazaam). D works in the bike industry and it was the one he wanted to get.

L was gifted a Strider balance bike for his 2nd birthday/ Christmas but we haven't gotten it out yet. I think he'll love it though!

My daughter (3.5) is really fast on her strider balance bike. We're going to buy her a pedal bike this spring, no training wheels.
