This would be considered a non-emergency, so I won't hear back from my midwives until Monday ... did any of you take Zyrtec while pregnant (with the blessing of your care provider)? I'm miserable. It was the only allergy medicine that ever helped me, and I really want to take one.

They told me to take it. It has better data than some other allergy meds. They told me nose sprays (Flonase and similar) are also good choices since they're locally acting.

Yup, every day with DD, and every day so far with this guy, currently at 27weeks. My OB says it's fine, and so does my pharmacist BFF!

Yup, I took it with both. I didn't take it with my DS Before my first appointment because I wasn't sure if it was safe. I was miserable and struggled with being constantly out of breath. My OB told me it was safe. Benedryl is also safe if you need some more immediate relief...
I have also used Flonase during both and it helped a ton as well. You can get it over the counter now!

My OB's handbook lists this as a safe and very effective allergy medication.

I took it throughout my entire first pregnancy and every day of this pregnancy with the blessing of my OB & MFM - no need to suffer!

My ob said its fine to take the basic Claritin. She did say I shouldn't take any of the nasal sprays that spray themselves or anything that has a decongestant in it because it raises the babys heartbeat; but I could use the basic saline that you squeeze, similar to a contact solution bottle.

I was told I was allowed to take it and never had issue.
