I’m super early but so very much looking forward to those baby kicks! My LOs will be 7 and 10 when baby arrives, so I don’t really recall when I felt either of them move.

Curious if you felt #3 sooner?

I'm almost 31 weeks pregnant and today I've noticed less movement overall, but it's more spazzy/frantic when it happens. Is this something anyone has experienced? Is it of concern? I've messaged my doctor's office, I see him Tuesday, but I don't know if it merits a call to the nurse line or whatever at my doctor's office.

I haven't googled yet, and I'm a little extra concerned because of issues I had in my 3rd trimester with my son. But because of that I think I'm more worried than I should be.

I don’t remember this from baby 1 or 2. But this one moves like crazy! Like really big movements that rock my whole body. Did you have this? Also, baby seems to get really agitated when I lie on my left side, kicking and punching up a storm until I move. Please tell me you had this and baby turned out to be a sweet calm angel.

With my other two pregnancies I never had this but this pregnancy i seem to only feel kicks and movement below my belly button and I'm 27 weeks. It's been like this since i could feel movement. Sometimes it's so low i feel it around my underwear line. My other kids I felt them higher above my belly button by now. Could this mean my baby is possibly transverse?
I know you ladies can't just look in and see but I was just curious if other ladies have had this kind of movement and how their baby was positioned. If baby is transverse I'm not worried cause I know I've got plenty of time to move. I'm just curious.

just curious!

with my first two, I thought they were probably head down when I could feel lots of hiccups waaaaaay down there. I was pretty sure I could feel my son's bum up top at the end (but I may be totally wrong about what I was feeling!). I never had an ultrasound after 20w so just guessing.

this one has been breech which wasn't a surprise because I felt all the kicks down low. I've just started (at 30w) feeling a lot more up top and wondering if she flipped. this time I'm having growth ultrasounds monthly so we'll see if I'm right in two weeks! she doesn't have as many hiccups so that method isn't working.

could you tell head up/down or anterior/posterior as you got further along?

I am 29 weeks along and baby is head down. Yesterday while grocery shopping I would get what felt like bad period cramps for like five seconds and then they would stop. It was painful enough to break my concentration. I have gotten the same thing a couple of times today (always while walking) but not as painful. Is this just the baby hitting his head against a nerve or something? Anyone ever feel anything like this?

DS2 was head down (according to feel) at my regular appointment at 36w3d, but now he's breech according to my MFM ultrasound at 36w6d. The doctor (who is not my regular OB) today said it was time to start talking about turning him, or scheduling a C-section, but I'm thinking that if he just flipped, he could do it again. So if you had a baby flip head down to breech shortly before due date, did they end up flipping back?

If you had an anterior placenta with 2nd (or 3rd or 4th) pregnancy, when did you start feeling baby move? With DS1 I had an anterior placenta and felt him right at 20 weeks. With DS2, my placenta was posterior and I felt him at 14/15 weeks. This pregnancy I have an anterior placenta again, so wondering if it will be late like 20 weeks again? (DS3, I had a posterior placenta, but never felt him move much by 18 weeks except during ultrasound, but he had a very poor fetal prognosis and it turns out he couldn't really move.)

Last night I heard a weird clicking/popping noise when the baby kicked me, almost like his joint cracked. I've noticed it a few times since. A quick google search seems to show others had the same thing in the third trimester but no one really knows what it is. Anyone else experience anything like it? It's like he's cracking his bones in there or something!

I'm 26.5 weeks and the past couple days the baby suddenly feels totally different in the way he's moving. Before the kicks were fairly gentle, could feel them under my hand since week 18, like little air bubbles. Now it feels like he's turned sideways/transverse because I can feel his actual feet on my side... and his kicks (or punches) feel waaaay stronger and have actually been making me jump! When I put my hand on my belly it feels like he's punching me right in the hand... almost like twitchy/jerky kind of feelings. It's hard to describe but feels totally different and I can also see TONS of waves and movement when I look at my stomach now.. like he's constantly turning and rolling and going wild in there.

Did anyone else feel such a sudden change in how the baby felt or feel freaked out by it? I feel silly getting startled but some of the movements seriously feel like he's about to push right through my skin! I also worry about him being on his side and maybe that's why he's going nuts in there... if he can't move into the position he needs to be in. Clearly having lots of irrational FTM thoughts!! :silly:

Tell me about how much you felt your baby with an anterior placenta. This is new for me, because my placenta was low-lying with DD1, and I felt her ALL the time from 18 weeks on.

This time, I started feeling movement at 20 weeks and still only feel her when I'm perfectly still and/or usually when I'm laying flat on my back. I'm only 24 weeks, but it's nerve-wracking since I have my first pregnancy to compare to.

I'm sure this will change when she gets bigger/I am further along, but for now it's kind of stressing me out. Any experiences to share?

Just wondering. I'm 15+2 today and I felt movement regularly starting at 18 weeks with my first. I MIGHT have had a couple little twinges so far, but nothing I can be sure about.

I have a tilted uterus, so that might have something to do with why I don't feel anything yet. I know 15 weeks is so early, but tons of October mamas are already feeling tons of movement and it's hard not to worry!

Just curious if most people around 20 weeks still feel their babies very low in their abdomen? When I feel his little kicks and movements, it's almost always in my pelvic area, just below where the top of my underwear is. I know the uterus is supposed to be up to my belly button at this point so wondering why I rarely ever feel him higher. Is that typical?

I'm 18.5 weeks and the past few days I've suddenly felt a lot of action going on in my lower tummy area. It doesn't really feel like I've seen people describe, no butterflies or tickling. More like big bubbled and waves.. at first thought maybe gas and now can clearly recognize it as something different and it's happening pretty frequently. The crazy thing is when it happens, I can usually feel it with my hand on the outside... my husband felt it too last night. Was anyone else able to feel from the outside this early or am I crazy? I was so frustrated I hadn't felt anything and now it's like zero to 100 all of a sudden! I'm also very thin (too thin but having trouble gaining weight still, ugh).. so wonder of that contributes to what I can feel?

I've noticed that whenever I lay on my side to sleep, the baby will kick really hard. I actually feel his feet on my right side, so if I lie on my left side (as recommended), he kicks really hard. I wonder if his head is on my left and if I'm squashing him? When I googled it, some people mentioned they had this because their babies were transverse. I haven't had an u/s since 20 weeks and not sure if this is the case.

If you had a transverse baby, how and when did you know? And did you have this issue lying on your sides?

When did your baby turn head down and stay there?

Last time I know C did it pretty early and I could feel her position, so I never worried about it. 32 weeks with my second and she is still all over the place and definitely not vertical. Last night I'm pretty sure I felt a head and butt directly horizontal. My next midwife appt is next week so I will ask then, but curious how it went for others. Or if they didn't turn head down on their own, what happened? Did you do acupuncture, spinning babies, to encourage it?

Did a forward inversion on the couch tonight so by the morning she should be right in position right?
