I thought we were "one and done", but 6 years later the universe had other plans.

This pregnancy has been insane. I worked a crazy full time teaching and coaching job, then my husband moved cross country for a new position while DD and I stayed behind to sell the house and finish our school years.

We moved to join him in May, got settled in our new home and TODAY we add a baby boy to the mix! It feels like our new journey in this new city is finally officially starting.

Will be back with pics! It is a scheduled c-section (last time was a traumatic induction) and I'm hopeful for a smooth, quick birth.

I'm a few days over 38weeks and I've been having painful contractions since 1am (it's now almost 5am). they are the same pain/intensity as my last labor but they are hovering at 10min. Sometimes it's 5min and sometimes it's 15.

I'm so frustrated because they don't go away when I lie down (I've been trying to sleep for hours!) but they aren't getting closer together either!

And I'm stuck at work, watching the clock and phone like crazy! She's hoping baby girl is here by 5 pm, but i'm thinking that might be wishful thinking. This is number 3 for her, but she's always had slower labors (she was induced at 8 am, but already at 4 cm when she went in.)

We didn't even tell anyone we were going to the hospital, so we definitely did not put any updates on social media. I haven't noticed anyone doing this lately but remember some people giving a play by play of the birth. Not my thing, but to each their own!

Did you update social media on your labor progress?

I checked into the hospital 2 hours ago to start the induction process. I was 2cm dilated and 60% effaced when I was checked before they placed cervadil. I'm having regular contractions now, but they are pretty mild. Hopefully things go smoothly and quickly. It feels pretty surreal that I'm going to have a baby!

So as some of you are aware, I haven't had any painful contractions. Some random tightening and cramps.
Dr just checked my cervix.
I'm already 4cm dilated and 100% effaced and at -1 position. I just ordered breakfast and I will eat it when it gets here in about 45 minutes. After I eat, then they'll start my IV and monitor the babies and start the pitocin. They think the babies might be here by tonight! Eeek!

She's so funny, she called me midday and said she was in a lot of pain and asked if she should stop working this week instead of next as planned (she's 37 weeks with her second). I said stop now and go get checked.

She said she'd go to the bathroom and if it didn't hirt, she'd stay the rest of the day. She was leading a meeting at 4 and didn't want to miss it. I told her to cancel now, but she didnt.

Eventually she changed her mind and cancelled and went home. Contractions were 5-7 mins but she wS sure they'd stop.

I was getting a massage and got a text and call back to back. I had to stop in the middle to check it and Lo and behold water had broken and she was heading to hospital.

She's still there, not much news yet, but I'm so excited to have my first niece!!!! :)

So I started having pretty consistent contractions starting Thursday morning, went to work but by 5pm they were definitely not just Braxton hicks. I labored at home Thursday night and all day Friday until 7pm when Hubs and I decided to go to the hospital and find out if I was truly in labor. They monitored me for 4 hours and I dilated from a 1 to a 3 in that amount of time and got admitted! Contractions really picked up but I wasn't progressing. Around 5pm Saturday, my OB decided to try to induce labor and put in a foley bulb to help me dilate. After 3 days of contractions, I broke down and got an epi (oh sweet relief!) The bulb was taken out around 10pm and I was dilated to an 8!! I never made it this far with my first pregnancy. It is now 3am on Sunday and we are just waiting for baby boy to make his final way out!

This came as a total surprise since I am only 37w 4d!!

Woke up to contractions at 5:45 am. Hugged and kisses DD, read her some books and left her to play with grandma. Last check was 5.5 cm and got epidural. It stalled my labor so they're starting on low dose pitocin and hoping it jump starts my labor again. I would also love baby by 3 pm because my nurse is awesome and that's when her shift ends. Next step would be breaking my water :) feeling good!

So yesterday (feb 12th) at my doc appt 39+7 I had a membrane sweep and ever since then which was at 11:30am I have been cramping, having pressure, and contractions it now 2:31am. I've now been timing them for over a hour and a half and they range from 8-5 mins and have lasted 44-59 seconds. They have definitely been a little more intense than the BH I have been having the past few weeks so I know they're different. I just went to the bathroom a few minutes ago and saw a little red/ lite pink on the tissue.

Could this be it!? Today is actually my due date (02/13)
