Good morning ladies!

I am looking for opinions! I’ll be a FTM in June (so excited even with the anxiety of this pandemic). I’ve decided on a diaper bag - want the Dagne Dover Wade diaper bag. I’ve carried a Dagne Dover work back for two years - really put it through the wringer and it still looks brand new. So I believe in the brand. And I’m wanting it in black as I tend to prefer simple black to go with more and also as my DH will be open to carrying it if need be if it’s in black.

But I can’t decide on the size to get. Instinctively want to get the small because it already seems large (likely smaller than my everyday work bag to be honest) but since my mother in law generously wants to get it for me - I don’t want to get one that’s too small that makes me wish I’d picked out the larger one. Online reviews suggest the small is better for a toddler when you carry less. I don’t want to carry more than I need but don’t want to get the wrong sized bag if possible.

Which also made me realize - what do you put in the diaper bag for a newborn/ young baby? I’m tracking diaper wipes, diapers, bottle, change of clothes, ointment, pacifier (if used). Anything else I should consider including?

I’ve added a link to the two sized bags and would appreciate votes and opinions.

I have been eyeing a Lily Jade diaper bag because 😍😍😍...I was planning on waiting until Black Friday, assuming they’d have a good sale, but they’re having 30% of site wide right now  Anyone know how their Black Friday sale last year compares to this?!

Also if anyone has any input on a Meggan vs a Shaylee?....I’m going to have 4 kids 5 and under so I need the space, but I’m scared the Meggan will be huuuuge.

My boys are old enough now that we don't need a diaper bag and won't really need a stroller when we go out anymore. Therefore, I'm looking to get a backpack to make it easier for us to carry things while we're out. I'm thinking a change of close, water bottles, lunch, sunscreen, that type of stuff. Any suggestions?

We had a huge bag for our last kiddo (24”) and got tired very quickly of carting it around. Now that our second one is on the way we want something more manageable. Any recommendations for size and or brand of diaper bags that would work well?

My previous Timi & Leslie bag, which I love, has pretty much been through the ringer between two kids. I just stopping using it about a year ago after about 4 years when my youngest was out of diapers. I'm expecting another soon and was thinking about skipping a diaper bag this time, but wondering if I'll regret it.

NStrom sale has some decent ones that I might like. Has anyone used these? ETA: Ugh, it looks like most of the nordstrom's bags sold out! Still looking for opinions though!

Before LO2 is here, I think I want to get a different diaper bag. We have a standard Skip Hop messenger style one now, and I can't imagine carrying that thing with an infant bucket seat, and chasing a 2 year old...hahahah I want to get a back pack one for sure!

Any recommendations? Also, it doesn't even have to be a "diaper bag" designated back pack. Even a regular back pack that could function as a diaper bag is awesome. Also, nothing girly, DH will be using it too so no hot pink flower prints hahahah

Help me bees. I want to get a backpack-style diaper bag for my 15 month old. He's on the go all the time, so it would be much more convenient, I think. I need the usual - lots of pockets, plenty of space, etc.

Bonus: something that's fairly "neutral" so my husband won't feel weird carrying it (although he's pretty laid back); something that is not super $$$/designer bag. Not interested in those.

Extra points if you can give me an Amazon link!!

I am a chronic over-packer and with baby #3 on the way, I'm afraid I'm going to end up carrying a freaking suitcase with me. While researching "diaper bags for 3 kids", I saw that some of you pack a extra bag and just leave it in your car, and only carry the essentials on you.

So....if this is you....I'm wondering what you pack in each bag? I'm probably totally over thinking this, but again, I'm an over-packer who likes to be prepared for everything. Kids will be 4 (fully potty trained), almost 2, and an infant.

What do you have? I have the skip hop duo and really, really dislike it. I don't like the bottle compartments, it feels so bulky but still doesn't have enough space, I have to take everything out to get one thing, and I wish the handles went over my shoulder.

I saw a Lily Jade that converts from a backpack to a crossbody to a shoulder bag but it's nearly 300 dollars which is a bit out of my price range.

Does anyone have a regular backpack that you like and use as a diaper bag/bag for going out with your preschooler? I'd ideally like something with interior pockets and at least one exterior drink holder pocket, and not particularly large or heavy. Bonus for being in the $30 range.

This seems totally basic and I'm scoping back to school options on amazon but not seeing what I want.

Please forgive me for having a sequel to my diaper bag post but I think I have finally found it. I normally don't spend this kind of money on one item for myself but DH said I could get it for my birthday.

Long story short, I hate my skip hop duo and would love to have something that could also be used for work (I am a teacher) and just for general carting things around after the baby days are gone.

So I am in love with Lily Jade but I am stuck between three bags and could really use some help since this would likely be my last and final diaper bag. I want something that would be great with 2+kids, so I appreciate some insight as I just have one LO. All of them come with their awesome insert and are approximately the same size.

Thank you!

Option 1: The Madeline...
I love the overall look and the fact that it can be a backpack, crossbody bag, and a shoulder bag. I am not terribly fond of the particular color (I tend to like more whiskey colored leather) but the fact that it can be a backpack is awesome. $285

Option 2: The Rosie...
I love the look and the leather on this one but it can't be worn as a backpack. That's pretty much the only downside but it's a big one. $309

Option 3: The Elizabeth...
I was originally not interested in this bag because of the pockets and buckles (I like a more simple look) but it comes in the leather I love AND can be a backpack. $295

I need some suggestions, so I am turning to you wonderful ladies for your expertise! I am expecting baby #3 in July. My two older children will have just turned 4 and 2 when baby arrives. I have always used and loved my Kate Spade diaper bag, but I am worried about having an over the shoulder bag to carry while I am trying to wrangle three kids 4 and under. I am thinking it may be time to shift to a backpack style bag so I have my arms free for child carrying. I should say that right now I am just using my purse, but before I leave my house it is always overflowing with kids water bottles, snacks, hand wipes etc. Basically its constantly trashed, so in reality I should still be using a diaper bag or at least a larger tote style purse, but I have been a slacker. :silly:

What back pack brands have you ladies used that you love?

Also, if you have three kids that are all quite little, is the non backpack style diaper bag still working for you?

Hello! I'm hoping you guys can help me find a new diaper bag.

When we started looking at diaper bags we wanted one that converted from backpack (husband preference) to shoulder strap (my preference) and we ended up with the JuJuBe BFF. However, we have since discovered that we never use it as a backpack (it's too heavy for long term backpack wearing), so that opens up a whole lot of new possibilities and I'm on the hunt!

Things I want
- cross body shoulder strap or way to attach one
- tote straps or handle for a quick grab
- Sits up on its own
- Direct access from the top (no messenger bags)
- At least 1 easy access outside pocket, and 1 zippered outside pocket, preferably more
- Inside pockets for small stuff
I'd like something slightly bigger than my BFF, but not so huge things get lost
- Something that is going to last and handle wear and tear

Things I don't care about
- Looking like a purse/cute patterns - I just want something that my husband is willing to carry.
- changing pad - I think I'm going to get one of those clutch things that has wipes, diapers and a pad that we can grab to go in a bathroom and do a change

If anybody has something that fits all this, I'd love to ehar about it!

Besides struggling to keep my diaper bag organized, it's so damn heavy. Probably due to not being organized at the same time...

I need help. Stupidly.

I keep a ton of diapers in there and throw extras in the car in case we end up being out later than expected, wipes, brush/nail clippers, bum cream, extra clothes for accidents, gripe water, tylenol, 2 receiving blankets (one to cover up with when feeding in public), a bib...

I wonder if I just need to buy a bigger bag??

Interesting. I love my JJB bag but this is an good idea if I wanted to use a bag that I already own.

My daughter is 10 months old, and i very rarely take the diaper bag in with us unless we will be awhile. I usually just grab 2 diapers and a travel package of wipes and throw them in my purse. I hate lugging around several things! It's still necessary on long outings but I see myself using it less and less. When did you ditch the diaper bag?

I'm new to the minivan thing. It's great for moving people and stuff but where do you put backpacks, diaper bags, and breast pumps while you're parked? Things that might look valuable but totally aren't.

I have a 2016 Odyssey.

We have a diaper bag that stays in the car that is mostly just diapers, change of clothes and wipes. Although I still have one in diapers I don't really ever bring the diaper bag in anywhere, I'll just throw a few diapers in whatever other bag I'm using.

Do you still bring a diaper bag everywhere you go? Like into the store, a restaurant, into a friends house etc or does it stay in the car?

Looking for some recommendations for a replacement for my diaper bag- preferably a backpack. My (almost) 2 year old definitely doesn't need a lot of the stuff in her diaper bag and my older daughter has been fully potty trained for quite some time now.

I will occasionally carry my North Face Isabella backpack but it makes me feel too much like a high school student. Looking for recs for a small adult backpack.

I was gifted the Skip Hop Forma Backpack for Christmas as we are expecting LO2 in a month. Our current diaper bag is unstructured and hard to keep organized. For this one, I'd like to use pouches or bags.

How do you keep your bag (especially for two kids) organized? If you use pouches or bags, which ones?

How do you keep it organized? Do you use pouches or smaller bags?

I wanted a backpack diaper bag for my second (whose coming soon!). I was eyeing a couple but then I was gifted a really stylish and expensive backpack that I think I can just use. I hate rummaging for things and that's the only drawback. So tips please?

(FYI ... For my toddler, I don't really carry anything for her. Maybe a pack of raisins :silly: )

I'm looking for diaper bag recommendations for 2 under 2!

DS is due in March, and DD turns 2 in May. She requires a lot less gear these days, but definitely still has her needs, a denim remembering how much more stuff newborns/infants need!

What worked best for you? What did not work at all? Anything you can tell me would be great!
