@HappyBaker: those are so cute! I was looking at food containers, but these are better to decorate! Thanks!

I did slime with a few of the same girls for a Brownie science badge in the school art room and there’s no way they are mixing their own at my house, haha. :silly:

Also if you want to pre dole out some of the mix ins so they aren’t dumping them everywhere, the Dollar Tree near me has little condiment cups with lids that were perfect for that.

We made slime at my daughters birthday party and the kids enjoyed but it was messy ha. What I did was pre measure all the ingredients into tiny containers and gave them gloves to mix their own. The recipe we used took a long time to come together so I don’t have one to recommend!

But we used these containers (and I made cute Harry Potter labels for them) and they were a good size!

Random question of the day!

I'd like to make slime as a party activity for 7 and 8-year-old girls. Because of the timing of the party, I want this to go rather quickly, and prefer to have the girls just add mix-ins (glitter, beads, fragrance, etc.) to their own containers of slime that I've prepared ahead of time. Ideally, I'd love to let them each color their own slime, but am not sure if that'll work well if I make the batch ahead).

So.....does anyone:

(1) Have a favorite reliable, easy, big-batch slime recipe that I could make ahead (enough to fill probably 15 decent sized containers)? Must take mix-ins well!

(2) Have tips on mixing colors into slime at the very end of the process?

Also - favorite cheap but good take-out containers to send the slime home in?

Thanks in advance!

@winter_wonder: Yes, what @Lahela017: said, it's super dusty! Make sure your furniture is moved out/ covered and the door is shut if possible. I'm not gonna say the sander made it easy, but it was definitely easier than doing it by hand.

We did a lot of sanding on our walls too when we moved in. It makes a layer of dust in the whole house, but it was pretty straight forward.

My DH made a great LEGO table that can be put on and taken off the kid table. I don’t know how much he spent making it but 3.5 years later and DS uses it all the time.
