I had a dating ultrasound today to find out I’m 14+1. A little farther along than I figured and gives this bub a due date of April 6.

Any other April mamas? How are you doing?

Honestly, I’m exhausted all the time. This is my third and a surprise. We haven’t told the big kids yet but plan to do that this weekend. I have 2 boys, 8 & 3. I think they will be excited. All I can think is all the things we have to do to get ready since we got rid of it all.

My due date based on my last period is about a week later than my ultrasound measurements at 12 weeks. So my doctor changed my due date to earlier based on the ultrasound

Just wondering if anyone can share when they actually ended going into labor? Closer to the LMP date or the ultrasound based date? I’m 35 weeks. I know baby will come when she is ready but the week difference is getting to me mentally...

Can a due date based on an ultrasound be less accurate than based on the LMP? My OB originally gave me a due date of 11/21 based on LMP, then bumped it down to 11/15 based on an early scan. Well, 11/15 has come and gone, the baby seems quite content to stay put, and I'm looking forward to still working tomorrow - after telling my boss and everyone that I may not be around all of last week :silly: Thanksgiving this year is going to be... interesting.

I don't know if I should be worried that baby is overdue, or if it's just that my original due date was right.

How was your due date calculated?

By date of last period or by date of insemination? If it was by date of last period, was your cycle length taken into account? I have 30 day cycles and think those calculations are usually based on 28.

My two doctors have calculated it differently, so just curious.

Hello! I’m needing a little piece of mind. We had our 7 week scan and they indicated the baby was measuring 5 days ahead of my LMP due date. I am concerned because I have Type 1 diabetes and I know exactly when we DTD and conceived. Am I already measuring big from the diabetes or is this something that is common? This is our second child and our first measuredn right on time. Any words of wisdom are much appreciated!

Tomorrow is my first scan and I am super nervous. Based on my LMP I will be 6w1d. I know that many say that they were able to hear a heartbeat at 6w. However, I have a feeling I'm not quite 6 weeks yet, I typically ovulate a day or 2 later than the norm. MY guess is that I'm closer to 5w5d. Do I still have a chance of hearing the heartbeat? I have been a ball of nerves and I feel like hearing that could calm me a bit.

TIA!

I know that round ligament pain is more predominent in the second trimester, but I wouldn't describe my "cramps" as sharp or anything.

They don't even feel like typical period cramps.

I'm maybe 5 weeks? I feel like a dull ache in my uterus and I think it might just be my uterus growing, I'm not sure. But the pain comes and goes.

Is this still considered round ligament?

How long does this last? The entire pregnancy?

I am just so ready to be done and I'm only 32 weeks! My mother had 5 of 6 kids early (one came two days late) and my first was 11 days early. This baby is also measuring ahead just like my first. I know babies come when they're ready, but I can't help finding reasons to expect this one early! :silly:

This is probably going to sound rambling since I'm off caffeine, so please bear with me.

My due date has changed twice. First, they dated me off of my LMP (July 20), which gave me a dd of April 26. Ok, fine. I had told the doc that I knew I always ovulated late (usually cd16-17), and actually this particular month, even later than my normal (cd19). They said they would adjust my date at my first ultrasound.

When I had my first ultrasound, baby measured exactly right for my O date (not LMP) - so they moved my date back....to May 1. Ok....still with me?

Then, I had my MFM appt (I'm AMA, yay). Baby was measuring ahead a few days. I ended up having a third u/s, and that confirmed baby was ahead again. They decided to move my date based off of these two new u/s. Which brings the date back to April 26th (same as LMP dating).

I don't actually care/worry about the date or measuring ahead a few days. But here's where my question comes in.... DH and I only BDed 3 times during my fertile period... CD11, CD14, and CD19 (which was my confirmed O date). Based on baby's growth being ahead, does that imply that baby was conceived from CD14 even though O didn't occur until CD19? So, 5 days before O?? Is that even possible? Or is baby just measuring ahead and it doesn't really mean anything?

Sorry for the longest post of all time! I'm just curious, I guess. I didn't have any weird dating issues with DS's.

Can someone take a look at my chart and see if I did this right?

I have irregular periods, but my luteal phase is usually 12 or 13 days. This last cycle, I was waking up late, but I always temped before getting out of bed. I was on vacation and I missed a day.

CD1 was Boxing Day (Dec. 26), but looking at my chart, I may have ovulated Jan 16th.

Does that mean conception date is Jan 17th?

January 29th, got bright pink spotting after dtd (implantation?). Strong BFP Feb 1.

If so, does that mean my due day is October 9th?
http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/5972fd/?i=6681146&

I don't think I should plug Dec 26 as my LKMP into a due date calculator since I don't think I ovulate 10 - 14 days after cycle starts.

I just want to make sure I have the due date as accurate as I can. I JUST had my blood taken to confirm the pregnancy (although my HCGs at home were quite strong). Results won't be ready until Monday, and until then, I won't be able to book my first pre-natal appointment or ultrasound dating.

Thanks!

My first with each LO really sucked. I had nausea bad with my first, just a little with my second but general early pregnancy pains made it not so fun. The third trimester brought bad hip and back pain, swelling, and being anxious to meet LO. So the second trimester gets my vote for being the easiest!

With LO1 my due date was September 3rd and with LO2 my due date was March 21st. LO1 came August 29th and LO2 came on March 12th, so both early! I had to think for a minute on LO2's due date, I'm glad I wrote these things down!

Do you remember your due date?

I find it so interesting to hear about how relaxed some OBGYNs are about due dates. I have had four different OBGYNs and four pregnancies, and never had a doctor wiggle around on a due date. After the 12 week dating one and the 20 week anatomy scan, it doesn't budge, even though I consistently measure 2 to 3 weeks bigger.

Has anyone had their OBGYN change a due date after the 20 week scan? Or, like me, once it was set it was set?

Ps how can I talk my doctor into doing this! Currently have a csection scheduled for 12/28 but I really want baby hear around the 20th (39 weeks is actually Christmas, so he wouldn't be here that early)

What would be your ideal due date? If you could choose, would you?

I think a spring due date sounds really nice. I would pick May 18th.
