I have a similar bag that is a bit smaller and I like that it stands on its own and can be easily cleaned. However, with our regular trips to the pool I noticed we have been regularly filling it up so was thinking about getting a larger Bogg bag but am debating it if is worth the cost. I have read in reviews that it is heavy.

I asked this question a year ago and these are the replies I got!

https://boards.hellobee.com/topic/bogg-bag#post-2926477

I ended up getting a huge Scout bag....which I like but hasn't held its shape well so it looks kind of busted. BUT I can fit a ton in it and I don't think the Bogg bag would have been as big as I need.

@Lahela017: oh yeah, I definitely don’t use it for the beach unless I am going on my own. Though, we take a lot to the beach. I do use pouches in it to organize things but I still get annoyed having to sort through them. My current beach bag is super heavy and cumbersome but has great pockets and can hold everything we need. But I figure there is always a trade off.
I think it would be great for swim lessons. I like it when we are going to the playground or park because it stands up on its own and I’m not worried about putting it down on the grass/sand/dirt/whatever. I also tend to grab it if I want to corral things in my car. It stays upright and can sit at someone’s feet

I kindly requested a Bogg Bag for Mother’s Day from my husband and tiny human, but they picked the color. I wanted something useful!

I saw so many moms at swim lessons with them and honestly was sick of getting my LL Bean Canvas Boat N Tote wet on the bottom (non-washable)!

I have literally hosed the Bogg out after the beach and I love it. At first I felt so boujee, but really the bag works well for us. We’ve only had it a few months so I can’t speak about the longevity but so far so good!

The Bogg has two clear pouches that come as “pockets”, which is nice because they zip and you can rearrange them on the bag. I also use small plastic pouches for other things I don’t want wet that I bought on Amazon.

My mom has a bogg bag that I was intrigued by I didn't think it was worth the price (and my mom doesn't think it is either). But I did see a knock off style one at Sam's Club that I grabbed earlier in the summer when it was on sale. I like it but don't love it. It doesn't feel big enough for all of our things and I get annoyed to not have pockets.

This is the bag I have. The quality seems similar to the Bogg bag: https://www.samsclub.com/p/sportbrella-beach-tote/P03015073

Also, it seems like there are a ton of knock-off versions. Maybe they are good enough...? Anyone have a review for me?

I agree with others to just get adult size chairs. When our DD was really little she had a kid size chair but it was so much lower to the ground than the adult ones that she never liked it. She always wanted one of ours.

We have three of these in one car: https://www.amazon.com/Coleman-Cooler-Portable-Camping-Chair/dp/B00339910A/ref=sr_1_5?crid=1A3YW1M4DW74S&keywords=coleman+camping+chairs&qid=1682343424&sprefix=coleman%2Caps%2C115&sr=8-5

And three of these in the other: https://www.target.com/p/sierra-designs-oversized-folding-chair-red/-/A-78260430#lnk=sametab

@erinbaderin: Our beach chairs have backpack straps, which I love! But I was also getting annoyed stuffing the camping chairs back into their bags so I grabbed a few of these carrying straps last summer - I love them! https://www.amazon.com/YYST-Adjustable-Beach-Universal-Folding/dp/B017Q91MC2/ref=sr_1_5?crid=1V4S2RAIINH9I&keywords=straps+for+chairs&qid=1682343502&sprefix=%2Caps%2C98&sr=8-5

We have some kid sized chairs, and the kids always commandeer the adult sized chairs leaving an adult (usually me, unless my mother in law is around) perched in a toddler sized chair.

All that to say just get adult sized one. And also I REALLY want that one @karenbme posted with the backpack straps, I'm really tired of wrestling the chairs back into the tote bags.

Everyone in my family has adult REI brand camp chairs in various styles. We like them all. I think it’s nice to just have adult size chairs so then you can be flexible about who uses them.

We have a couple of these (I think… I didn’t buy them but they’re the same brand and similar) at a family camp and they’re good for the bigger kids. They work for a smallish adult chair, too.

https://www.rei.com/product/218135/coleman-kickback-breeze-chair

Personally, we have these at home and they are great for everyone from our 3 year old on up. They even have backpack style straps for carrying when folded.

I keep finding camping chairs & reviews say they are for max 5 year olds.

I wanted to get a chair for DD (7) to watch DS at soccer games.

I wonder if you could use this sort of hat - since it’s an adult size, might be able to cross it over more for back coverage and hot glue an extra piece of Velcro in. No experience, just a thought when I read the post!

I have another "does this exist" type post -- haha. I like floppy wide brim hats for the beach to help with sun glare and offer some protection to faces and necks. My kids are going to be 6 this summer - so not babies - but still want to protect them since we spend long hours on the beach for the week we visit.

My daughter loves ponytails that are situated at the very top of her head - we even call them pineapple ponytails they are that high - haha .... So last summer we did a visor but I missed having any sort of neck protection...

Does anything like this exist

https://www.amazon.com/Peicees-Ponytail-Protection-Summer-Bucket/dp/B091364XSW

but without the top part of the hat? I'm imagining it like bald man - hahahaha.

I can't be the only mom of a kid that doesn't only wear low ponytails :-p

I agree with PP about MaskC for adults. The KN95s are all we use, and they have been having great sales lately.

For me, I like MaskC’s KN95s. Comfy and good protection. Big sale going on right now too. https://www.shopmaskc.com/collections/masks/products/black-kn95-face-masks-10-pack

I’ve tried a million masks for my 7yo, and he says by far the Vida KN95s are the most comfortable, though I do have to tie the straps 1cm. They’re pricey but really good. It would be too big for my 4yo tho. https://shopvida.com/products/kids-fda-listed-face-mask

I was just reordering masks to get us through the end of the school year. These are my kids' favorites:

https://kollecteusa.com/collections/all/products/cocomong-kf80 - my five year old is tiny, and these have fit her best.

https://bonafidemasks.com/harley-childrens-protective-mask-hl001/ - what my 7 year old chooses most days for school

https://bonafidemasks.com/powecom-kn95-sm-respirator-mask-10-masks-per-pack/ - I can get these to fit either kid fairly well. It didn't fit my younger one quite as nicely early in the school year, but it's better now that she's grown a bit more.
