I saw some old posts but thought I would ask again in case there’s anything new!

Finally got myself back to working out and there’s wayyyy too much bounce. I guess I need a nursing bra because anything with enough support is probably hard to pull down to nurse?

Thanks!!

Looking for recommendations for nursing tanks and bras! Searched posts but a lot were old so figured a new post would work :)

I had some 2nd hand Target tanks from a friend with I had DD. She was end of June baby so I wore them a lot, sometimes a tank over or bra under when going outside. LO #2 is due in December so I won't be walking around outside in a tank. I figure I'll have a bra under, cardigan over, something like that. I ordered some from Old Navy, not sure if they're any good. Other options you liked?

What about bras? I don't even know where to begin here!

What is the secret to keeping it on (as a drip catcher)? It’s awesome for that buuuuut I just spilled half my collection on my iPhone when it fell off :silly:
Don’t know if it’s a factor but my chest is huge anyway and kind of engorged at the moment.

Also can you really pump with this to get more? Do you just squeeze it or is there a technique?

Thank you!

Does anyone except Bravado make nursing tanks with real bra sizing? The shape of the Bravado tanks is hilariously wrong for me. All the solutions I found with LO#1 involved too many layers and I was so hot ALL THE TIME. This next kid will be a winter arrival, so, maybe it won't be so bad...but I'd still love to find a one-garment solution.

Does anyone have any recommendations for small band/huge cup nursing bras?? Particularly any wireless bras for the early days postpartum? I can find a few underwire bras in my size that I plan on trying, but seem to be at least a cup size larger than any of the wireless options. I'm still open to trying those that are one cup size too small, but I'm pessimistic about dumping $$ on them if they're already too small before my milk ever comes in.

I consider myself fairly well educated on bra fitting, but am at a loss as to where to go when no one seems to sell my size! Unfortunately that also means I have little tolerance for ill-fitting bras  I'm a stickler for a tight band (don't worry, I know to ensure breast tissue is not being compressed to avoid clogged ducts). I read /abrathatfits on Reddit but have not found much help there (nursing bras are not their specialty).

I'm going to throw out a LOT of info in hopes anyone can use it to provide good advice:

I'm currently wearing a Fantasie Rebecca 30GG(UK)/30J(US) at 7 months pregnant. Pre-pregnancy I was wearing a Panache Envy 30FF(UK)/30H(US). Already up 2 cup sizes. Bottom- and center-full.

1st Pregnancy: Started out with a VS 32DDD (but also had little clue how a bra was supposed to fit then so may have been the wrong size), eventually settled out to a Freya Pure 30G while nursing (though I was probably larger before my supply regulated). So went up at least 2-3 cup sizes. I started off with Bravado S++ bras, which have been discontinued and weren't very supportive anyway. Post-nursing I wore Panache Envy 30FF (absolutely loved these, but don't seem to fit my shape as well since I've been pregnant :bummed: ).

I generally need a size 30 band in most brands. I know about sister sizing and sometimes can make a size 32 work, but when I have to start on the tightest hooks, the band stretches out and becomes unsupportive too quickly. I hate having to replace a $60-70+ bra within a month or two. If you know from experience that a particular brand runs small in the band, I'd love to hear about it (even if it's on my "please don't recommend" list below)!

Please do not recommend (this list is so long I want to cry):
- Cake (Only makes one underwire bra in my size (Waffles). I plan on trying it anyway even though I'm already at their largest cup size)
- Bravado (Currently own a 32J/K Essentials Embrace which is their smallest band/largest cup combo. I already have to wear it on the tightest hook and the cup is a little too small.)
- Hotmilk
- Coobie
- Le Mystere
- Natori
- Cosabella
- Chantelle
- Wacoal
- Elomi
- Felina
- La Leche League
- Anything from Motherhood or A Pea In The Pod

Bras already on my radar to try (Any experience here on sizing for these particular bras?):
- Cake Waffles 30J
- Freya Pure 30GG (I wore this almost exclusively in 30G last time around. Doesn't give me a great shape, but if it gets the job done then so be it.)
- Panache Sophie 30GG (Cautiously optimistic about this one. Wireless and my favorite pre-pregnancy bra was a Panache.)
- Panache Eleanor 30GG
- Kindred Bravely Simply Sublime in Small-Busty or Medium-Busty (technically should be slightly too small, but crossing my fingers)
- Anita Fleur 30J
- Royce Charlotte 30GG

I know about converting a regular bra to a nursing bra (though I've yet to try it), but soft cup bras in my size are almost exclusively sports bras. Aka very restrictive on large breasts, which is good for high-impact workouts but doesn't sound great for nursing. If you have a rec for a soft cup bra with a more natural fit, I'm all ears!

Any great lingerie boutiques I should know about in the DMV area? My luck with in-person bra fittings has been hit or miss (I've been to Nordstrom and Bra La La).

Any Etsy shops or the like that make unusual bra sizes?

Anything else I may have missed???? (And thank you so much for taking the time to read through all of this brain dump!)

The nursing bras and tanks I wore 24/7 when DD was born were not the most high-quality, well-fitting, or luxurious. Looking back on it, I spent SO MUCH time in them I think this time I'm willing to drop some cash on a few real quality pieces. What did you love? Links please!

I'm looking for a double later lunch bag that I can use for a lunch box and hold pumped milk in when I pump at work. I have a Spectra and use a jujube bff for my pump bag, and I can't fit milk in there (if I can, please show me how to pack it!) So it would be way easier to have my milk and lunch in a bag so it's less things to carry.

Hi all. I'm looking for great nursing bra recommendations with smaller band sizes. I'm a 32C or D depending on when baby last nursed and have found that most size small bras are too big in the band to actually be supportive. Do you have one you love?

Maybe I am just late to the party here (with over 3,600 reviews on Amazon I wonder  ) but I happened to come across these super cheap nursing bras on Amazon while searching to replenish my supply before baby comes and they are amazing! I am a 38 DD (never changed sizes during pregnancy or after) and had a terrible time finding bras to fit my last pregnancy. None of the main stream stores around here carried DD, something which blew my mind considering it is not an unusual size under normal circumstances much less with the changes pregnancy and nursing bring. I ended up settling for 3 very expensive ($90+) and ill fitting bras purchased from a specialty store that I was never quite happy with. This time I thought I would give the internet a try and see what I could find. I happened to come across these super cheap and very positively reviewed bras on Amazon and thought for the price ($25.99 for 3!) I really didnt have much to lose. I received these a few weeks ago and fell instantly in love. First of all, the material is amazing. It is really soft yet supportive and doesnt ride up your back. It is thick too so it feels like it will hold up well to wear and tear. The bras come with extenders in case you need them for size/ fit or even just the daily changes that come with pregnancy and nursing. I purchased these thinking I would just wear them around the house but they are actually supportive enough with a nice shape that I have even been wearing them out and about too. I didnt have a problem with the product I received so I never utilized this company's customer service but the reviews say it is amazing and they are willing to replace or exchange any product you are unhappy with. The only con I have discovered so far is that the foam inserts (which are removable for washing) come in only one size so they will not cover entirely if you are a larger size. This makes the bra a little funny looking alone but I have not found that it shows when worn under a shirt and I have not had any problems with them shifting. If you check out their entire line they also have tons of other products including tanks and hands free pumping bras all for around the same price point and all with great reviews. I am hoping to try a few more things out myself  Happy shopping!

Has anyone tried this? Is it worth the $$? I really need a good nursing bra, I have a cheapo one from Target and with LO1 I BF for 18 mo and it seems like I need to invest! I had a lot of clogged ducts with her (none yet with #2, fingers crossed!) so I've avoided underwire though I think it would be nice.

And does anyone have a referral code to share?

I have a large bust and a small rib cage (34J 😑). I bought two nursing camis at motherhood maternity (for way more than I wanted to spend, I just say) and I HATE them. They fit me terribly. They gap at the sides, but then the bust "shelf" in them is way too small. I'm not looking for bust support, I just want to have something to wear around the house and be comfy in and have easy access when nursing. What do you suggest? What do you love? Looking for something moderately priced.

I just rejoined a gym now that lo2 is 3 months, and when I went to get dressed today to go workout, OWWWWWW!!! I'm not even wearing it while engorged but my poor achy milky boobs 😂 My old sports bras are not cutting it even though I got them while I was still nursing lo1 (fwiw, she was 1 when I started working out again, lol trying to get back into it earlier this time! Plus I had supply issues w lo1 so there's way more milk this time).

Do you have recommendations for sports bras that you love that have worked when you're still in the early/nursing a lot days? Bonus for ones that are easy to nurse in since I'm still home w lo2 and using the gym childcare/need to nurse shortly before/after working out!

Eta I'm about a d cup so need a good supportive bra. I've been using a sleep nursing bra for mommy and me yoga but that would hurt for any cardio...

I'm 5'6, pear shaped, wearing a size 12/14 on bottom M/L on top.

I typically look good in A-Line dresses with a little bit of structure, and don't look good in wrap dresses.
I have a my best friend and I liked it in the early days but it's kind of cumbersome so I didn't use it long. My boppy was a hand me down and I used it all the time but it is pretty squished now. In the early days I hated the way baby would roll towards me in that slope area but once she was bigger we used it daily until like 1.5!

Should I just get another boppy or is there something else awesome out there now?

Any reviews or experiences that are positive or negative about the Undercover Mama?

FYI: I have to wear a bra out to feel supportive. I have the Bravado nursing tank from Target that I wear at home and love but would not feel comfortable just wearing that out (not enough support). I like my midsection being covered so this Undercover Mama idea sounds great in theory but I can't remember if I purchased it with my first and returned it or if that was something else.

Our plan is for lo2 to sleep in a bassinet in our room for the first few months at least, and we don't have room for a glider in there, so I'll most likely be nursing in bed a lot. I never really got the hang of side-lying with lo1, so I'll most likely be sitting up. I occasionally also work in our bed as well (our room is the only place I can "hide" from lo1 to work if she's home since otherwise she just wants mommy to play) and it kills my back, so I already could use something, besides just a mess of pillows, to help make it more comfy! I think I had one of those "husband" style pillows in college, but just a random one that I didn't love...

Hi ladies, need recommendations from anyone with a similar figure!

I'm 36 weeks, pre-pregnancy bra size was a 30C, right now I'm a 32DD. I got the Bravado silk seamless nursing bra in size S and hate it--it's riding up on the smallest band setting, I dislike the cup inserts, and feel like I'm wearing a sports bra and badly miss my underwire. Everyone seems to love this bra; should I just get used to it, or is there something better out there? My problem with bras always is that my band size is really small, but my boobs are medium sized and wide-set.

Money is no object here, I would be happy to deplete my IRA for a bra that doesn't drive me crazy for the next year.

Anyone ever use one of these? I was thinking it might be good to have for going out when I need to nurse in the car or at someone else's house & wouldn't bring my brest friend.....

Has anyone tried the H&M nursing bras? The price is great (2 for $24.99) and Target doesn't have the style anymore that I loved the first time around so I need to try something new. They even have quite a few nursing tops, too, that looks nice.

LO is a long, chunky 6 weeks old and spits up & hiccups if jostled too much after eating. DH's knee cradle works for him, but I am looking for a solution I can do. Did you find the NB lounger helpful for reflux? How long were you able to use it?

Can anyone recommend a sports bra that works well for a small band and large cup size? It would be fantastic if it were compatible with nursing also, but I'm so frustrated finding one that fits that I'm about to give up on finding that. I've been using a Moving Comfort Juno in a 36DD (their largest size), to accommodate my cup size, but the band has gotten way too big. My best fitting bra right now is a Freya size 30G (US size 30I).

Hi all - Do any of you California bee's happen to know what type of breast pump Kaiser covers? All I can find online is that they provide the "base product" (whatever that might be). I can ask my Dr., but my next appt is not for another 3 weeks or so, and was hoping one of you might know.

Thanks!

Looking to expand my nursing options. Last time around I basically lived in Gillian O'Malley (sp?) tank tops from target. I never found their nursing bras to be awesome tho.

I still have some of the tank tops that I plan to revive - but I'd like to find some super comfy bras to wear under normal flowy shirts I can lift up.

Who has recommendations?!

What were your favorite clothing pieces in the early days or nursing? I'm not a big fan of the traditional empire-waist nursing tops, but the ease of access can't be beat.

Last time I basically lived in a few of the Gillian O'Malley nursing tank tops from Target, but I felt SO frumpy and really want to try a bit harder this time! I think I'll try some more cute button-ups and flowy tops, but would love to hear what you wore. Specific brands or item suggestions are great, too!

I have heard that wearing underwire while nursing can cause mastitis--true or old wives' tale? I am so sick of non-underwire bras but don't want to cause issues with nursing.
