Anyone have a Bogg Bag for swimming lessons/beach time? Are they worth it?

Also, it seems like there are a ton of knock-off versions. Maybe they are good enough...? Anyone have a review for me?

Do you have a camping chair for kids in the 7-10 range?

I keep finding camping chairs & reviews say they are for max 5 year olds.

I wanted to get a chair for DD (7) to watch DS at soccer games.

But an adult chair seems like overkill hah

I have another "does this exist" type post -- haha. I like floppy wide brim hats for the beach to help with sun glare and offer some protection to faces and necks. My kids are going to be 6 this summer - so not babies - but still want to protect them since we spend long hours on the beach for the week we visit.

My daughter loves ponytails that are situated at the very top of her head - we even call them pineapple ponytails they are that high - haha .... So last summer we did a visor but I missed having any sort of neck protection...

Does anything like this exist

https://www.amazon.com/Peicees-Ponytail-Protection-Summer-Bucket/dp/B091364XSW

but without the top part of the hat? I'm imagining it like bald man - hahahaha.

I can't be the only mom of a kid that doesn't only wear low ponytails :-p

It’s been a while since we’ve had a mask post 😛 Were traveling internationally this summer so I was thinking I’d like to bring a stash of surgical masks for flights and busy places. We’ve used cloth masks for most of the pandemic but I don’t feel like laundering/keeping track while we’re traveling. Does anyone have any brands they’ve particularly liked (or disliked)? We’ll need some for adults and kids (2, 5, 7). Thanks!

Does anyone have a bogg bag? We joined a pool so we will be spending a lot more time there this summer and I think I need a new beach/pool bag situation. People seem to love bogg bags. Are they work it or any other pool bag recommendation? I have three kids whose junk I need to haul around.

Hey all! What kind of bags have you been using with your older kids? My kiddos are now 4 and 6, so they are out of the diaper stage. However, they are still very much in the stage of needing me to bring water bottles, coloring books for restaurants, hats, and snacks. I had been using a large diaper bag backpack (which I loved) since my oldest was born, but the zippers are starting to break. I don’t need anything quite so large considering I’m no longer toting around diapers, toys, tons of extra clothes. What are the more streamlined functional options for older kids? Thanks!

In my province my two girls will not have to wear a mask in their classrooms or outside (our COVID rate is basically non existant). They are "strongly encouraged" to wear it when walking to the bathroom, in the hallways, etc. I can't figure out the best way to set them up with their masks. Especially when, for example, they wear their mask in the hallway to recess then take it off once on the playground. What do they do with their mask while they play?

I thought about a lanyard to clip it on when not in use- but then I got paranoid about them on the playground and getting it wrapped around their neck. Plus, won't it get super dirty flapping around everywhere?

I then thought about a fanny pack but I don't know if that would just drive them crazy having to maneuver all day.

How are your kids storing their masks at school when not in use?

Anyone have an recommendations? Does this exist? (4th baby but the first time we've had an island :silly: ) TIA!

With DS, I remember trying Björn, Moby, and Ergo with NB insert but none of them were great and we didn't get into the baby wearing groove until after 6 months. I was looking at a ktan, what do you think of those? How about kangaroo type shirts you can insert baby into?

I'm considering buying a collapsible wagon and I'm interested in input. My kids are almost 7 and 4.5. My immediate desire is to use it for door to door cookies sales but I envision we'd also use it to bring our stuff to the neighborhood pool during the summer. I don't anticipate needing to use it on the sand at the beach (probably because I've never owned one and always managed to go to the beach).

At my kids ages is there any need for them to sit in the wagon? We've been stroller free for over a year and managed two theme parks alright.

I've heard I should get one at Costco but there isn't one there now.

So I am shopping for strollers. 1) because our lawnmower burned in our garage and ruined my Chicco Activ3 jogger 2) because baby #2 will be here Feb./March.

My predicament is, my son will turn 4 in early April after the baby is born. Every double stroller I've looked at has a 40 lb per seat weight limit. My son is 3y3m and weighs 42 lbs & is 43.75" tall. So should I be looking at single strollers with a kickboard? Rumble seat? Just a single stroller because he won't use it?

We primarily used the current stroller 4-5 days a week going on walks, we also have a zoo membership that we use frequently. I never used the stroller shopping at the grocery store with my son, but occasionally go to the mall. (Which might change with 2 kids 😂)

We got the Snugabunny swing, which I'm planning to use mainly because it can plug into the wall. We were also gifted 3 hand-me-down swings I thought would be useful to leave one at the family vacation home and one at each grandparents' house. But now DH brought 2 of them home and they are HUGE! IDK why I thought they would fold up small? No way we can fold them into a small closet for the vacation place and store it. I think one of them we can keep in our room "just in case" she needs a place to sleep in our room. I think my dad will have a heart attack if we leave a big swing at his house too!

And the 2 that DH brought home yesterday are from his old boss whose baby is only 9-10 months old. So DH said the swings don't seem to have a long shelf life?

I'm thinking of trading one of them in for the BRU trade-in event, but feel guilty since the 2 newer ones are both still over $120 each!

How long did your LO use a swing for? Seems like they are kind of big ticket items that have a short life-span?

A friend just went back to work with an Elvie and raves about how great it is—apparently it’s discreet enough that she’s able to pump at her desk while working. From what she says it sounds ideal, but I’m looking to get some other opinions. Thanks!

I usually gate check it but it is pretty bulky. Is an umbrella stroller worth it? Or should I just take my regular stroller

Looking for ideas of a baby holder to keep on the main floor of the house to keep a newborn away from a rambunctious, climbs on everything, cruises on everything 17 month old. We have a swing, but I wouldn't trust the toddler around it (even if the newborn isn't in there!). Same with a bouncer-- he would want to climb in. I would also like something that doesn'y just lie flat.

Are there any baby holders out there that would work? Surely I can't be the first mama to want to be able to pee or get a snack without having to take the toddler or newborn with me!

I've Googled, looked at Target/Walmart/BBB, and can barely find Disney Princess bedding that's not super colorful/crazy. I LOVE the sets at PBK but buy two sets becomes more expensive than the bed itself...

Hey all,

Back in the day, I would have posted this on the classifieds page, but that page appears to be dormant! If anyone is interested in purchasing a gently used Oeuf sparrow crib, toddler conversion kit and organic mattress and you’re in the NYC/NJ area, wall me!

Hi, we are travelling to Hong Kong this October with my daughter. We have an uppababy vista and I’d like to bring something a little more lightweight. My daughter is NOT a stroller napper, so full recline is not a priority to me. She is 17 months now and will be 20 months by October. Tell me what to get!

I'm assuming no one checks classifieds anymore . . .

I have two sets of car seat adapters for the city mini - one for britax and one for graco. I feel bad throwing them away so I'll pass them on for free if anyone wants!

Is this normal, and more importantly, safe? My baby is pulling himself up in the crib now and chewing on the rail and I find him with paint chips all over his face, and I'm sure he's eating some. I can only guess this is typical, but I would have guess the paint wouldn't come off so easily? Did you have this problem? I guess we could drop the crib one more notch to the last one and hope that he's out of the chew everything stage (it's already pretty hard on my back to put him down now) or get one of those cloth things for it?

Does anyone have recommendations for a toddler swim vest? I like the idea of these to help her float a little and be able to move her arms. I don't want a puddle jumper. We will be swimming in lakes and the ocean.

I know that true swim lessons and no floaties are really the answer, but we are not there yet!
