Hey ladies! I can't believe how big our babies have become. J is so much fun, he is challenging but I've become better at catching and redirecting those times befor they become full melt downs. He's learning so many new words a day and is obsessed with the alphabet! ...and I was so stressed he would never talk! He's still in the crib - I hope to move him in the next month or 2 so DD can use it after she out grows the bassinet.

For his birthday we will be doing pulled pork sandwiches with sides with our parents, DH's grandma, our 3 sister, my BIL and niece. It will be much smaller this year!

J is a pretty great big brother, Leah is 7 weeks tomorrow. I was so worried we'd have jealousy issues but there is none of that. It is exhausting trying to give them both the attention they need but I know this time will fly by so I'm trying to cherish it.

Our little dictator sure is a handful these days. She is amazing and wonderful but man can she be trying sometimes. I swear, she was an angel for 19 months and then hit the terrible 2's early. She is learning so much these days, it is exciting to hear what will come out of her mouth next.

She is pretty good still about trying most foods. She loves carbs, as most kids do, and can put away some tortellini and red sauce. She still loves her veggies, mostly carrots, green beans and peas.

She's still in the crib with no plans of moving out. Still in diapers with no plans of potty training until she is ready. Still rear facing in the carseat.

No party here. We're going to the zoo the weekend before her birthday with my parents and the three of us are going to spend the day together for her birthday.

Hi!! All I have planned for E's birthday is a cake and a calico critters "doll" house! Oops!

E is 27.5 lbs these days and pretty tall! She's in the 75th percentile for height. Her tantrums are getting a little better but that will all probably change with baby #3 arriving in July. She's a foodie but doesn't eat veggies unless it's salad. She's also starting to sing her ABC's and we transitioned her to a toddler bed (only at night - she still takes naps in the crib).

I can't believe the kids are almost 2 and that many of us either have already had another LO or has one on the way!

My little man has quite the personality. Laughs at everything, but spends awhile taking in new scenery and people before he feels comfortable. He always has something to say -- in English or Spanish -- or general "toddler babble." He also loves trains, planes, and cars just like at the @babyjmama: house. I think we're gonna do a space-themed bday, though, because he also loves rockets! LOVES books, his dog and any other dog, and being outside.

I think of you all often and do follow many on IG. Hope you're all well.

R is doing great as well! She is so talkative and has such a fun personality. Of course she has moments where she makes naughty choices, but thankfully it isn't too often. While she loves to eat she has definitely become more choosy. Oh well! She is such a fun little gal, I cannot believe they're heading towards 2!

Okay mamas, we are quickly approaching 2nd birthdays!! (Cue anxiety attack!) I thought we should check in and see how we are all doing! :-) I know I keep up with lots of you on Instagram which is SO fun!!

J is such a fun toddler. He throws fits of course but is easily redirected. He's obsessed with cars, trains and planes. Loves to help feed the dogs, eat anything that's not healthy and play outside. If it's a veggie not even ranch can convince him to eat it. On the other hand, if it's a carb he will eat it! I haven't weighed him in a while but last time I did he was 30#s....no idea how tall he is either!

Tell me how your LOs are!

@mediagirl: The party was SO much fun. He gently scooped some of the icing off his smash cake -- never really "smashed" it. He was fascinated by the balloons, and our guests were like the paparazzi. The details turned out well, and it was a great day that I know I'll remember forever.

@plantains: I used a cookie cutter that I bought on Amazon for way too much money. :-P http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004NT9ZTG/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I used her recipe and the cookies were SO GOOD!! The recipe made 14 cookies. After that, I just used the picture on the card that came with the cutter as a guide and decorated them with red cookie icing and black writing icing. Next time, I would use black cookie icing. The black writing icing didn't dry so it smeared when people put them into baggies. :( Didn't matter - still delicious!!

We're done!!! I officially have a one year and one day old TODDLER. :) She will always be my baby, though. There is no doubt about that.

I posted our party pictures in a separate thread. The party went great. We had it at 4pm and that time seemed to work well for everyone. We started eating around 5 and did cake at 5:30. M was super tired by 5:30 so at the end of her cake smash, she rubbed her eyes and got frosting all in her eyes. Poor boo!!

We had the party outside at our house. We were really worried that TS Andrea was going to ruin things but it dried out in time. The kids loved the water table and the ball pit, they kept them entertained. :)

[attach=251/13/moa2yo.400x600.IMG_5189.JPG]

@yoursilverlining: beautiful invites! Looking forward to seeing the rest of your photos!
@plantains: I made cookies shaped and decorated like ladybugs and gave those as favors. Easy and cheap, PLUS, it's food. Who doesn't love food to go? :) When are you going to start making your food items? The day before or that day? Sounds delicious!
@pregnantbee: the animal crackers idea is a great one! I bet you can find those little boxes at grocery stores - or do they not sell them anymore? Could you do bubbles and puree packs + animal crackers for the little kids and bubbles and cracker jacks + animal crackers for the older kids?

@plantains: Thanks! I may have to look in a physical store for the Barnum boxes. (Buying online is too expensive, in my opinion, for animal crackers.) I'd consider getting them for the 1.5, 3, and 9-yr-olds. It's tough b/c a lot of cute favors have parts that are way too small for most of the little guests.

@pregnantbee: I immediately thought about the boxes of Barnums animal crackers because they are 2 dollars a box, but if you don't want food that won't work. Bubbles are great favors IMO, I need to put my thinking cap on and see what comes up!

@yoursilverlining: Oh, my, I'm just seeing this now. Even though I've subscribed to the thread, I haven't gotten any emails to let me there are new posts! The invite looks amazing!

@plantains: I'm also stumped on favors, and the party is in 1.5ish weeks! Circus theme (with a dog twist). So far, I only have bottles of bubbles. There will be 3 babies (in addition to my son), a 1.5-yr-old, a 3-yr-old, and a 9-yr-old. I know that one thing won't work for everyone, but do you have any ideas? (I thought about boxes of animal crackers, but they're really expensive for crackers, and I'd prefer not to give food favors.) A tiny foods menu is adorable :) Can't wait to see how it will turn out.

@yoursilverlining: Can't wait to see pictures!!

I've been buying and making a number of things for the party. It's still a "circus dogs" theme. Ordered a professional cake -- nothing crazy, but I didn't want the pressure of making that myself. I do still want to try to make his smash cake, but I'm having trouble finding cake pans the right size. And I have no idea what recipe to use! Small details :) His party is also based around the colors primary blue, red, and a little lime green.

Fingers crossed that I can make it come together!
