Like how could we let this happen?? I struggled a lot with the feelings of not being happy and it made it even worse because my sister is going through infertility and wants a baby so bad. Of course I never told any one other than DH but I felt extremely guilty of depriving my family of another grandchild/niece or nephew. But every time I thought about caring for a newborn and my 2 and 4 yr old I just could not even imagine it. DH works a LOT and I have no family nearby plus I’m struggling trying to start a business of my own. I just could not see it working. Not to mention my already existing anxiety. Then going into the pandemic, DHs company laid off a bunch of people and he luckily didn’t lose his job but got a hefty pay cut. I was even more relieved we made the right decision when all that started happening. Dh And I have been having marital trouble for the last couple of years. He’s been battling depression since his fathers death last year. I think having this baby will break our family, will make his mental health spiral out of control, which will then have a domino effect on my mental health. I’m upset with him for not pulling out but at the same time I don’t even know how to be upset with him, if that even makes any sense. It’s like what is even the point of being upset, what’s already happened has already happened just got to move forward. Got a very unexpected positive test while using birth control and was so terrified. I have 2 toddlers already. We ended up making the very difficult decision to terminate the pregnancy for many reasons. It was definitely the right choice. Just know that you can make whatever decision you need to and don’t let anyone make you feel guilty. I actually spent most of my pregnancy with very mixed feelings. I was convinced I wouldn’t be able to handle 3 (I work full time and was recently promoted to partner at my law firm) and that having a third was going to “ruin” things for my older child since we’d be starting over with a baby again. I had an amazing 2 week anniversary trip with my husband I planned during the first trimester and was really bummed to be pregnant for it. I had placenta previa and delivered a baby during a pandemic. My little guy is the sweetest and smiliest baby and I honestly can’t imagine life without him. He’s a great sleeper (thank you, Snoo!) and we’re making it work with the crazy situation, jobs, etc. Try taking one day at a time. I def wouldn’t call 99.2 an “increased temp”, since your temperature can fluctuate so much throughout the day. </p> <p>Hopefully it’s nothing!
