@LadyDi: Okay! Ours is small but I can see her move and can hear also. I do t know maybe i’m just being paranoid. I’ve done this before with Lo1 I don’t know why I am hesitating- maybe because we waited at 6 months for the first. However, i just feel like she will do better in her room. Anyway! Thanks!

@cake2017: We have an older video motorola. It's fine, terrible battery life. I have loud white noise in all of my kids' rooms and I have never had trouble hearing them on the monitor....but I can hear the white noise too. I am used to it by now but it's kind of annoying.

@MrsSRS: Hi! Thank you for the link!@LadyDi: I am thinking about moving her in her room in the crib at night when we get back from vacation. She naps in there just fine. Can I ask what baby monitor you use and if you can hear very clear with a loud sound machine going? We have one but I’m thinking about getting another one.@ALV91711: Thanks- it seems to depend how the day goes. She does 5 usually. Then I start to worry if she’s eating enough

I think this sounds very normal. DS3 is 4.5 months and he just started to get on a more predictable schedule and stretch out the time between feedings. Most of his naps are only 20-30 minutes and he’ll have one longer one in the middle of the day. I sleep a lot better when I move the baby to his own crib/room but that’s a personal decision based on what you’re comfortable with.

I’d say that’s pretty normal for 3 months. DS2 has 4-5 naps until around 7 months old. It was tiring especially with an older one to take care of.

She will start to go longer stretches between feeds and longeger/fewer naps soon.

This is a normal schedule. If she's having good wet and poopy diapers then she's getting plenty of food. That's a normal amount of time between nursing sessions. It will lengthen, and her naps will consolidate into fewer, longer ones, but probably not for another month or two. Here's a sample schedule, and look, the feeds are only two hours apart. https://www.babysleepsite.com/schedules/3-month-old-baby-sleep-and-feeding-schedule/

Hello!

I feel like I’m all over the place.

LO wakes with us at 630am because she’s in our room and toddler awakes same time so i’m going in to get him. She seems to eat every two hours- eat, play sleep. I’m watching wake windows so she stays up for 1.15 before each nap. She’s ready for bed around 630-8pm. She will wake to eat( becomes restless around 1030-11pm). She will continue to wake every 2-3 hours in the night. Last wake will be 530am and i hold her for the hour. Naps are about 4-5 a day mostly 5. They are 30-45 mins. Last week the first nap was 1-1.5 hours now it’s shorter.

Questions- How do i know she’s getting enough?
Is she waking because she’s not eating enough?
What should the naps look like?
Any sample schedules with the awake time at 630am would be helpful please?
Should i relocate her to her crib in her room for nights? ( battling this because i’m anxious and worried what the aap says even though my doctor says it’s fine for baby).

How do i feed and follow eat play sleep if her naps are so short?

Sorry for all the questions! Thank you

My kids adjusted right back into school schedule. They are in bed by 7:50 and usually totally asleep by 8. Tonight I had to work really late (I'm still here actually--UGH) and I called around 7:45 to say goodnight and my husband said they were already asleep!

My 4 year old is still waking around 6-6:10 each morning. The 6 year old sleeps till around 6:30-6:40. They both have really busy schedules this year, so I think they are tuckered out between school, and dance/soccer/gymnastics/theater/chess after school.

I don't know how you all do it! Sometimes my 1st grader and preschooler are in bed by 9, but not always. Everyone is out the door by 7am, but they probably only get up about 15 min before that. I get home with the kids by about 5:45, my husband around 6:45, but we're barely getting dinner together and eaten before 7:30, much less baths/showers and bed.

@hellobeeboston: I’m worried about the time crunch in the evening. I go back to work tomorrow. So far 7:30 has been doable since I’m home to get dinner ready early. Tomorrow we’ll all be home by about 5. Got to have dinner, get the baby to bed then get DS1 to bed. Going to be interesting.

I'm trying to pull back from the later summer bedtime, but we try to head up at 8 and be asleep by 8:30... i'd love bedtime to be right at 8, but it's a struggle when we get home at 6 after sports and work to do dinner and get some time to hang out.

@ALV91711: this year we get home at 4:30 and it is AMAZING. Last year we got home at 5:45. It was incredibly, incredibly difficult. Especially as a single parent. But we don't have much wiggle because we leave at 6:40 every morning, so I'm up before 5:30 and the kids have to get up at 6.

ahhhhhhh.....my kids were both tired last night, so they were asleep by 7:30. And then they were both up at 6 sharp, which is mildly annoying, because I'd prefer they sleep until 6:15-6:30. Since I leave for work at 6:45, I need some alone time to shower and dry my hair, etc.

Tonight, I'm going to try 8pm again and hope they sleep till 6:30 at least (since tomorrow is a weekend!).

My first grader is in the shower at 7pm, little sister takes a bath after her, then stories for both and lights out. They share a room. Lights out probably at 7:45ish. They have to get up at 6:45 to get the older to school on time. Today, the 3yo wasn't having it. She went back to sleep, which thankfully was fine, because I could stay home and hang until she woke up around 8.
