We got really into Broadchurch, which is a British mystery show, last summer. Watch a few episodes of Barbie, particularly “Team Walters” or “Life in the Dreamhouse”. Some of the longer feature films like mermaid/ Princess etc. are kind of yuck, but the shorter episodes really are not bad. It definitely has it's problems, but I don't think it's quite as anti-feminist as you are portraying. Their mom is a computer programmer, there is a lot of focus on handling relationships. I think it's more problematic on the consumerism front than the feminism front.
