So I know someone posted about CBD for anxiety recently, but I’m looking for any thoughts/suggestions on using CBD to help me sleep. My main problem is falling asleep. I’ve heard great things about CBD but am nervous and don’t know where to start. Has anyone used CBD to help them sleep? Thanks!

Do you dream about your LOs?

When I was a kid I remember my mom telling me frequently that in her dream the night before my brother and I were babies or toddlers. I've been waiting for a dream like that - I'd like to visit my babies - but I don't remember my dreams a lot these days and the kids aren't usually in them.

Last night I actually had a dream I remember with DD in it. She had taken BART/the subway by herself. She did fine and I picked her up at the station. But then the station agent really chewed me out for putting a 6yo on the train by herself. I've been trying to figure out what this dream was related to and now that I wrote it out here I think it might have been the roller coaster I let her ride at Knotts Berry Farm last week. Oops. Anyway, when I dropped DD off at school this morning I reminded her that she's walking herself to an on-campus afterschool activity that she hasn't done before. And I told her in no uncertain terms that she was not to get on BART instead. She must think I'm a nut. :silly:

Tell me all the things. please.

I am going in for my annual check up tomorrow and I am going to be asking for a referral for a sleep study bc my DH and everyone who has slept near me is pretty sure I have sleep apnea. I am sick of being dog tired all the time and I also don't want to die in my sleep sooooo……

But I am nervous.. and I'm wondering what to expect? how bad is it really? Will I even be able to sleep??? Have any of you done one and what was it like.

Also, if you have a cpap machine or something does it really work and is it easy to use or will it bug me and be a waste....??

I have always been a high sleep needs person. I just have a hard time focusing or functioning on low sleep. I have a 2 year old who wakes up multiple times a night and a three month old who wakes up 2-3 times a night still and I’m exhausted. All the time. I don’t exercise at all, I have unfinished projects all around the house. I know the answer to getting things like that done is to get up before everyone or stay up late but I’m so tired that I’m dropping my phone on my face while I try to set my alarm at night and I have to drag myself out of bed.

So I figured it'd get harder to sleep toward the end...but I'm only 26 weeks! And sciatica is already keeping me up at night.

I have a firm mattress, already sleep with a snoogle between my legs, a wedge under my belly, and my last addition was an extra pillow at my feet to help keep my legs straight.

Of course it's the left hip that hurts (and they say to sleep on the left side!). I've tried sleeping on the right, but that hurts too. If I sleep on my back, the pressure of the baby makes my lower back hurt.

Any suggestions? Between the sciatica and restless legs I slept a whole 4 hours (in two stretches) on Saturday night. Sunday night, I got more sleep by sleeping in the recliner. But I don't really want to do that for the next three months!

I WFH about 50% of the time, but now that my older is in school every day, we have to be out the door by 8:10, whether I'm working from home or working in my office. My husband leaves by 630 every day so is fairly useless in helping out in the morning. So, I've been setting my alarm for 6:15 every day and getting up before the kids to get myself ready and get breakfast started (and a cup of coffee in my system!). I like having the extra bit of time alone in the morning to get the ball rolling, even if it's just 15 mins.

Do you have to set an alarm during the week?

Even before kids I generally would get up before 7am unless I absolutely had to (which I generally did for work but I didn't like it! lol). My girls are usually up between 630 and 7 so I'm rarely up before them. DD1 is so used to waking up that yesterday, when she came to my room to discover that I was already up and in the shower she said, "Mommy, you're up! *giggles* *smiles* *sudden serious face* "You don't get out of bed until I come to get you!" Complete with finger wagging lol

I'm in the middle of a stretch where I haven't been sleeping much at night, and am not able to take naps during the day. I'm incredibly sleep-deprived, and have noticed the following symptoms:

* I'm constantly irritated, and much quicker to lose my temper.
* I'm way dumberer than usual. The other day, I forgot the name of our kid's teacher. This is someone I see and interact with almost every day! Since then, I've noticed that my thinking is a lot slower and I'm making more mental mistakes.
* All I think about is sleeping. I'll tell Bee all day long about how tired I am, and I fantasize all day about squeezing in a nap (which never happens).

I'm gonna get sick if I keep this up, so I will force myself to take a nap! Hopefully that restores some of my brain cells.

I'm waking and feel as though I'm laying on my side too much. Baby will be pushed up high because the mattress topper is actually mis-shaping my bump... It's odd and I'm worried it's hurting baby.
Has anyone experienced anything like this?

I don't want to bore you with too many details but I have always struggled with insomnia but I also have high sleep needs- when I worked FT I was taking ambien.

When I was self employed melatonin and an over the counter sleeping pill- and I would usually sleep in till 8 or so sleeping for 10 hours.

Since T was born I have been waking 1-2 times a night to soothe/feed her. If she's snoozing with me I usually can sleep in until 7.

Suddenly she is STTN and I go to bed at 9/9:30 and have been waking up at 5/5:30 every morning. I can not get back to sleep. She usually wakes up after 8. I'm taking melatonin and the over the counter sleeping pill like I did when I was self employed. I've been walking 3.5 miles a day and my legs are sore and I'm tired. What gives? I don't want to get on a more serious sleeping pill, but I'd love to get at least another hour in.

DH and the girls let me sleep in till 10:30 today!

I honestly don't remember the last time I slept in this late. I'm usually up by 8am on my sleep in days.

DD2 has been waking up at 5am for the day for 3 weeks. Work has been crazy busy so I'm mentally exhausted.

DH made the girls breakfast, did two loads of laundry, cleaned the house, took them grocery shopping, made ketchup with them. LOL
I would've been chugging coffee on the couch.

We are in the market for a king size mattress (and new bed - yay!). What did you buy? Do you like it? Where should I start looking/researching?

Thanks in advance!
