The opposite of sleep begets sleep is definitely true here- when she has terrible nap days, our nights are even worse. So hopefully you are in for some good night sleep!

G takes reaaaaally long naps at daycare. Like a couple 2-3 hour naps. I was really worried at first, but that 'sleep begets sleep' thing is true for us...and it's definitely different every day haha

COuld be a growth spurt! My Lo always slept more during those. The schedule seems pretty normal though (and great that he's napping so well). I wouldn't worry!

I feel like I never know what is going on with our sleep!? L either doesn't sleep enough or feels like he sleeps too much.

Lately we've been getting some better sleeps around here, which I'm super thankful for. However, I feel like during the day, for the past 3 days, he's been napping way too often. This is our general sleep schedule for the last few days. Is this normal?

Today
7:30 - wake up for the day
8:45 - first nap
9:45 - wake up
11:50 - 2nd nap
1:00 - still sleeping...

Yesterday he slept on and off from 2:00 - about 5:00

8:00pm he starts falling asleep so we start bedtime routine.
8:45 - bedtime
1:30 - wakes up for feed
4:00 - second night feed
5:00 wakes up and won't go back down so I bring him to out bed
5:15 - 7:00/7:30am - sleep.

Ack... Sorry, that's not the best timeline...

And words of wisdom would be awesome. Even if it's just to get a grip. Lol

Thanks ladies!! I appreciate it! Ladyfingers post made me think this morning - LO is 15 weeks so I guess closer to the 4 month regression mark. Silly me! Time got away on me.

How long did the 4 month regression last for your LO's?

my LO went through a HUGE growth spurt at 12 weeks. Up every 2 hours for about a week and ravenous. I just rolled with it and nursed her at every wake up, and in about a week it passed. But then the 4 month regression hit, and now we are in a 6 month regression, soooo ya, its been a rough few months! lol

My little one is a month older than yours, but I'm experiencing the same thing: even the tooth that was coming up but went back down! I have no good suggestions, sorry, but wanted to let you know you're not alone. Sometimes I can't even keep track of how many times he wakes up in the middle of the night. It's so often and I am SO tired!

Maybe I'm crazy, but I think there's a growth spurt around then. I'd chalk it up to a fluke or a short phase unless it lasts longer. And the tooth was probably a calcium deposit, and shouldn't affect sleep.

My LO has started having multiple night wakes up, they are not for long - it seems as though he just needs to have a boob for literally 2 minutes. Before this started occurring he was only waking to nurse once, at 3:30 (bedtime is 10). Anyways, other details: we co-sleep & EBF. As well, a tooth started to come up 1.5 weeks ago but has gone back down, then last Monday he got his first cold - which is on the mend now. Last night was terrible, I didn't keep track but I want to say he was up 5-6 times?!!!! If anyone has some advice I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks bees!

@Beebug: Sadly, we've only been able to go once bc LO was sick so often this winter. Just as we were going on a month of health, he now has another cold. So, I'm sad that he only wore his swim shirt (6 mo) once and is 9.5 mo now! I'm hoping the swim diaper still fits!

Come on nice weather! I am thinking about taking LO swimming (indoors!). She loves her baths, and we will be at the lake lots this summer. Needing to think about what she'll wear! Awesome to not think about snow suits, dreadful to think about me in a bathing suit tho!

I guess you've figured it out, but I would add that we use an Imse Vimse swim diaper that's been great, if you need an idea for something else in the future. (Previously had a Bummis, but the velcro started rubbing his stomach once he got more active).
