We bought directly from uncle goose, I believe. We got them for her first Christmas at about 8 months. She has used them in so many different ways already. At first she just liked knocking them down, then stacking, then building. It was instrumental in teaching her all the letters. However, I don't know what I should look for. Obviously, a good size, good colors, and a decent price. What about paint on the wood, do I have to worry about it chipping if she chews on them? Is the quality of the wood different? </p> <p>So far I looked into the Melissa and Doug set (around $15) but an Amazon review said they are smaller than other sets and I think most of their products are made in China now. </p> <p>Any suggestions? </p>
