Be mindful when planning out your time that the marathon is Sunday, so it might be hard to get around town in the morning. Phil’s icehouse (shares space with amy’s ice cream, which is a favorite of many) has an outdoor play area, as does hat creek burger. Hat creek is also open for breakfast. Favorite ice cream though is Lick, go there if you go to the Thinkery (Children’s museum). Homeslice pizza on the north side has a really fun and different play area with good pizza and a good vibe. My all time favorite park of anywhere is the Play for all Park in round rock. https://www.roundrocktexas.gov/departments/parks-and-recreation/parks-trails/play-park/ Not too far of a drive north and worth it. We also like Ramsey Park which is not far from where you are staying. And of course Zilker playground. Fresa’s On south first would be a good brunch with kids option. There is a large area for the kids to run around. Uchi or uchiko would be a great adult dinner sushi option. If anyone in the group is into barbecue, Franklin’s is considered one of the best, but you will have to line up early in the morning. J Leonardi is also great and delivers via uber eats for an afternoon/ night in option. Eberly is one of my favorite adult restaurants. Cafe Josie is also a good spot for adult groups. Sorry for the disorganized response! If I think of anything more, I will post again. The weather looks great this weekend, enjoy!

Welcome welcome! Some ideas for things to do with kids:
- Ride the Zilker Zephyr train and play on playground next door. Walk down to the trail by the river. Lunch at Shady Grove.
- Visit peacocks at Mayfield Park (could also do sculptures at Laguna Gloria - I've heard good things but never been). Lunch at Hula Hut outside on the water.
- Play in Fortlandia forts at Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center. Lunch at Thicket food truck park.
- Go to Thinkery and playground across the street. Delicious tacos at Veracruz which is across the pond but walking distance, or pastries at Lady Quackenbush's Cakery.

For adult dinner:
- County Line BBQ (near where you're staying)
- La Condesa dinner followed by drinks at a bar on Dirty 6th
- Loro
- Drinks at Whisler or walk around Rainey St.

Have fun!

@Thenetexan: I think we are staying in the North Cat Mountain area, the house backs up to Bull Creek District Park. We will have a minivan (woot woot,ha) so can drive around too.

What part of town are you staying? Zilker Park train and playground are always a hit. The children’s museum would be nice for those ages. There are also a lot of restaurants with kid play areas that I would recommend, depending on where you are staying.

We are heading to Austin this weekend and renting a giant house with our friends and their kids. Altogether, 9 kids (ages 6 mo-5) and 8 adults (around 35 years old). Any local bees with kid activity suggestions or favorite parks?

Saturday night we have babysitters and want to go out as adults to dinner/drinking. Any recommendations?

Thanks so much!!
