I am still nursing my DS at 19 months. I'm pregnant with DS2 now so nursing didn't hinder getting pregnant again for me. I don't nurse him overnight though so I don't know if that made a difference??

my cycles have been odd as well. the B complex seemed to help me O earlier last month but i then got AF on 8DPO which is much shorter than the 10 day LP i have been getting since i had my son. We haven't actually begun TTC yet so i can't say if it will have an effect on us getting KU but i am right there with you wondering how much its messing with my hormones. We are doing a 7 hour afternoon wean this month. Hoping that will help things out. I am also on all the vitamins though i havent tried vitex. Wishing you luck. I hope you can figure it out without having to fully wean before you are ready. I know duration of feedings can be an issue too so maybe you can time them and keep them shorter too?

I don't think you need to completely wean, but should probably night wean. I have read that that goes a long way for bringing full fertility back. DD was weaned down to 2-3 times per day and no more night feedings when we started TTC #2. I continued to nurse 1-2 times per day until just this week at 18w pregnant.

I am wondering the same thing. My pp, BFing cycles have been odd so far (but I am just getting started TTC #2). I am very curious to see what happens when I wean.

DH and I have been TTC #2 for about 5 months now. Our son is almost 17 months and before having him my cycles were always regular. Ever since getting AF back my cycles went from very long, to too short. My last few cycles have been about 27-30 days, but I've been O'ing on CD25(ish) and AF has arrvied 3-4 days afterward.
I'm still nursing LO (a few times a day and usually 1-2x overnight). I'm assuming that BFing is one of the big reasons for my luteal phase being so short. I'm still taking prenatals and started taking a B complex this month, but I'm wondering if there's anything else I can do at this point?
Has anyone else out there had to wait until their LO weaned before they were able to conceive #2? DH is starting to really question if I should start weaning for us to have luck with #2.
Thanks!!

@LovelyPlum: I started with the half tab as well. Definitely see if that works for you! I think I did a half tab for like 2 weeks and then kicked it up. It definitely helps my pregnancy insomnia as well. Those early weeks kept me anxious and awake all night!

Just an update on this - I tried to skip my Friday night dose and totally ruined my Saturday! It wasn't as terrible as my initial M/S but I definitely wasn't as comfortable and felt totally gross

When I took my Saturday dose (I take it before bed) the next day I was so groggy. I took 2 naps! Going to have to try again in a week or so.

@wahine08: I ran out and sent DH to the store the next day and he bought the economy box... bahahaha! I never thought I'd make it through box #1, let alone break into an economy sized box!! I hope yours doesn't last as long as mine though.

@MamaMoose: I find that when I take it at night after dinner, I get a huge wave of nausea and then wake up feeling better. Did this happen for you? Wondering if it's just my sensitive stomach trying to break down the medicine.

Hello Ladies,

I've been taking the Unisom + B6 for weeks now and I haven't stopped once. I started with the half tab of unisom + 50mg B6 once a day. Now I'm at 1 whole tab + 50mg B6.

I had one good week without nausea, but I still took it. I've read that if you skip a dose, the harsh MS comes back with a vengeance and takes a few days to go away again.

When did you stop or wean off of the combo? I'm feeling okay again at 11wks but I'm nervous it'll hit me like a ton of bricks again!
