I would save it. I thought we had most of the bases covered, but when we brought LO home from the hospital, we discovered we needed a ton of other things, especially nursing supplies. We had to make an emergency BRU run when DS was 5 days old.

Save it- I can't remember how many trips I made to BRU in the first few months. You never know what they will like/not like and what you will need after you get into a routine at home.

Save it! Not for anything specific, per se, but I know that when DD was just born, I had DH running out to get things like nursing pads, or diapers, or Playtex drop-in liners. Don't worry, you will definitely find use for it soon!

oooh!! I would just save it because undoubtedly you will be running to BRU several times a week for random things (broke the nail clipper! need overnight diapers! mom needs nursing pads!) and it will be so nice to have that GC.

On the other hand, $200 is a lot... so I would take half of it and spend it on something now (maybe the convertible seat), then use the other half on essentials as needs come up.

I just found out that my husband's very generous coworkers gifted us a $200 gift card to Babies R Us. We literally spent all of last weekend stocking up on the essentials for baby who is due in 3 weeks and we got most of the big things from family and friends (swing, infant seat, stroller, etc) What would you do with the GC?

I'd but it from BRU because you'll get rewards points:) & you won't have to deal with price match issues.
Do you have a 20% coupon? They give them out attached to your receipt all the time at BRU.

I have done it numerous times, worked well. However, I was going to buy a monitor the other day (video/movement) and there it was $300 at target it was $193 but out of stock. Long story short the manager said they just changed their price match where it had to be in a printed weekly advertisement for them to price match. Totally bogus. Not cool BRU

I got my freestyle with a internet price match! They usually don't, but I pushed and told them I had called ahead and the mgr just keyed in some codes and gave me the adjustment, let me use a 20% coupon on top of it, I had a lil giftcard left over and we only paid $180 for the freestyle that they sell for $399.99 :)

The Medela PISA double electric I received is $349.99 from BRU and $279.99 on Amazon! I know it was a gift, but I'm even irked my friend had to spend $70 more from BRU! Tempted to return it and try to buy it back with an Amazon Price Match. Anyone ever tried to do this? I know there was a thread on what a PITA returns at BRU are....

Check out the go-pod. It is $50ish. We have bouncers and jumpers but I'm considering it for when we go camping and for sticking in the kitchen or bathroom once they are mobile. It folds up pretty small, which would be way nicer for day to day storing than our massive jumperoo.
