I love it, and any royal connection wouldn't bother me, because the MN is an honor name. I think calling her Cami would take you even further away from the thoughts of the royal family.

Camille is so beautiful and elegant! That was my girl name for my unconceived child for years, but my husband associates it with someone he doesn't like, so it's out. I love how uncommon but simple it is. Diana is gorgeous and dignified and makes me think of the huntress. And I didn't think of Lady Di and Camilla, although it's a good consideration-- I hope that British royalty gossip is going to die out and become less important here

Full first and middle names are not used everyday when meeting people so I wouldn't let the royal family association stop me from using it, especially when one name is a family name. And I agree its a beautiful name.

@MegHalle: I love it. Diana is a perfectly normal name. It would be like not using Michael because people could think Michael Jordan or Michael Jackson.

Thank you! I know....I am a little hesitant about that because my Mom is often called Lady Di or Princess Di and "Charlotte Diana" was born on the morning of my wedding day! Hmmm maybe too many connections there!

I think it's very pretty. I does have a hint of the Diana/Camilla reference but since people don't usually introduce themselves with their middle name I don't think it will come up much.

I love Camille/Cami, and I'm partial to family names. That said, Camille Diana immediately makes me think of Princess Diana and Camilla Parker Bowles. It might not be a deal breaker, but it's something to have decided doesn't bother you ahead of time.

Girl names seem to be so much harder than boy names! We are going to be surprised with the gender so I need to have names ready. I am trying to keep it a secret from my family and friends by it is so hard not to be able to discuss names with anyone!

We are thinking Camille and maybe calling her Cami for short if it is a girl!

I would love to use my Mom's name for the middle name but I'm not sure if it goes

Camille Diana

Any thoughts?! Thanks! 😀

Just for fun -
While DH and I realize that we have plenty of time to decide on a name (we're not even pregnant yet!), it helps us cope with baby fever to talk and plan for the future.

We have some unique boy's names that we completely love, but we're getting stuck with girls names. Here are some we like:

Iyana
Isla
Indira
Nahla
Asya
Ava
Amirah
Sarai
Divya
Eve
Vera
Wren
Rio

So... which ones do you like, and can you come up with any name combinations (first and middle) using these or other names you can think of? Our last name is three syllables and starts with H.
