I absolutely agree with pizza and beer. And for my DH, vegging out with a movie would help take his mind off of things.

@HappyBaker: Good idea! I'll do it when I know he has a break so I am not that person to make a phone go off in the middle of a speech or something! Cuz you know with how bad his day is already going he'd have forgotten to put his phone on silent or something! LOL.

@Mrs. High Heels: haha, well, I just am feeling really bad for him. He grabbed a bunch of my stuff this morning when we were out the door and I feel like if he hadn't don't that he would have remembered his shorts. :/

Poor guy! At least he has such a thoughtful wife :)

Food is definitely the key to my husband's heart - I would definitely have in-n-out and beer ready for him when he gets home. Also let him veg and have downtime for as long as he needs.

Maybe text him a funny / cute picture of your LO? I know my husband can't help but smile / laugh at some of the old photos of DD that we have.

@cmomma17: I will definitely try to do as much tidying as I can when I get home! :D

@sweetooth: Dinner will definitely be made! Maybe I can pick up some beer for him too, lol! I worry about tomorrow too because he has another whole day of this tomorrow. :( I'm sure he's already dreading it.

I'd try and have his favorite meal and beverage of choice waiting for him when he walked in the door. Pizza and beer :) That does sound like a rough day! I hope it gets better and that the weekend is filled with good things.

I would make sure he came home to a really clean house and good food! And let him vent, or veg out in front of the TV/video games/whatever he needed to decompress.

So, my husband is having SUCH a bad day. Everything that could go wrong is going wrong.

My husband has a fitness conference today, for the whole day. We needed to drop the stroller off at his parents house (they live across the street from the daycare) while we dropped off L at daycare so when I get home I can walk home (usually DH picks us up). We were off to a bit of a late start and his parents are away so he had to deactivate the alarm (which he does all the time!) except this morning he drew a blank, set the alarm off. Couldn't remember the code. Called his folks and they're handing it but still, lame. So then he gets to the university for the conference (across the entire city!) and realizes he left his credit card at home and has to scrounge up change for parking (for only half the day so he has to go back and put more in later). Once he got all signed in and into his first course he realized he forgot his gym shorts on the bench at the front door and they aren't in his bag, so he's now doing his course in jeans. :( It was only 9am by the time all this happened, I'm really hoping things pick up for him this afternoon.

I would love to do something for him to cheer him up today, what would you do if your spouse had a really crappy day!?
