My tallish dd started on a strider at age 4 with the extender seat (purchased separately). She did great on it. My husband said they look like they're more suitable for taller kids.</p> <p>We have a Strider and my LO is of average height (he just turned 2). Clearly, we were excited. They can use them as soon as they're walking well and 30 inches. At 14 months she's a 29 inch shrimp who isn't even close to walking, so it was a little silly, honestly. They are very expensive. We bought my son (16 mOnths). At 10 in bike from Kmart do half the price. It had a low front bar so he can still use it. Our big issue was finding one low enough for our 22 month old. We ended up with a Chicco Red Bullet (?), plus Imaginarium helmet, and it's been great so far! Our son LOVES his bike. Don't forget the helmet!
