I didn't even bother trying to match a bed to it, instead, I went with a solid colored navy wooden bed. Now that he's in his crib, we sleep in the nursery when guests sleep over and they sleep in our room. LO1 moved into our guest bedroom when he was 18 months old and we have a sleeper sofa in our living area. We offered to sleep on the sofa and let my ILs take our room when they visited for 2 weeks but they slept on the sofa. I think the same thing will happen at Thanksgiving. We sleep in the living room. It is the combination that works best for us at the moment. My kids wake up at 4:30 &amp; 6:00 so even though my guests would sleep in the living room it isn't convinient. I don't want anyone else up with us that early. Two grumps are enough. We got rid of our queen size bed in there and decided to get LO a trundle bed (twin size). This way, when someone comes to stay, there is room for two to stay in his room and he can come sleep in our room on an air mattress. We have a set of bunk beds and a trundle bed, so if someone really wanted to stay the can have the upper bunk or the trundle. We had a difficult enough time getting my 23 month old to sleep on the bottom bunk that I'm not moving him off it when anyone wants to stay in January for the new baby. </p>
