My niece has this and sees a rheumatologist. I don't think she takes any meds regularly but she does have ulcer outbreaks occasionally that she needs treatment for. I can ask her more questions if you would like.

My mother has this, and she put soy sauce in the butter chicken I made her when she visited me. "aka: about as far from Asian/Eurasian/Indian descent you can possibly get"

It is an autoimmune disorder and she has to take steroids for flare-ups and get her eyes checked regularly. She also takes a daily immunosuppressant. The person you need to see is a rheumatologist or an immunologist. I would check your insurance, call them up to make sure this is something they have seen and treated before, and get a referral. My mother lives in the middle of nowhere and it took about a year and a half before someone crossed her path who knew what was going on with her.

My eye has been hurting the past week and worsened over the weekend. My eye doctor said it might be Behcet, I've never heard of it before and he mentioned it being of Asian descent - I don't think I have Asian descent at all in my bloodline - and I'm Native American. I have to have blood work done this week and have a checkup on Friday. My doctor said that this is common for Asians and is known more on the East Coast. Have you been diagnosed/have experiences with this syndrome? Have you heard of it, or know anyone diagnosed with it? How was it treated? I'm trying to be positive yet realistic. Any bees a medical doctor and know anything about it?
