Following! I used the high waisted shaper underpants for my first c section but was interested in maybe getting a binder this time. I really will need the back support.

from the reviews I'm reading online the belly bandit is pretty bulky and obvious under clothing. I don't mind it being a little visible, but if I can pay a little more and have it more hidden, I think I'd prefer that.

I tried the belly bandit but really didn't like it. I used it for a few days, but it was bulky and hit right at my incision.

The hospital one was my favorite! If it were me I might check out the ab binders at the drugstore. I saw some there that reminded me of the hospital one but had different sizes. Or the belly bandit seems similar but I haven't tried it.

I used the hospital one and then the bellefit, but not enough to justify the cost. It was pretty painful compared to my hospital one and a pain to get off for the bathroom.

I've had three C-sections and got a binder from the hospital with the first and third. It totally helps! I bought the Belly Bandit, but never used it. By 10 days PP I was so over putting it on though. You might be able to find one used! I found one used and bought a smaller size from amazon.

I just had my second baby 10 days ago, via a repeat C-section. at the hospital, they gave me a belly binder wrap-thing that has been amazing. I didn't have one after my first, but it seriously makes a huge difference in pain, movement, etc. I'm hoping to find a longer term wrap or binder, since the hospital one won't last forever and is a little shorter than I would prefer- it kind of makes me have a fat roll on top of it, haha. Any suggestions on what to buy? I don't want to spend hundreds of dollars, but I suppose I will if that's truly the best long-term one. thanks in advance!!

I was on 800 mg ibuprofen for WEEKS after P was born. Seriously, went through natural childbirth, but couldn't handle the after pains. She's still very young, and you are still recovering, so take it easy on yourself! :) I have no advice about the belly bandit though.

@HLK208: @rrachael: Yeah, I was thinking they probably are after pains again, but everything I've read says the after pains only last a few days. K has been feeding longer the past couple of days and I'm out of the painkillers so that's probably the reason for increased pain. It was just so bad today I finally had to take off the Belly Bandit because everything just hurt so much.

I didn't get pain from my abdominal binder.. It actually felt much better wearing it since it kept my muscles from "hanging".. Not sure about the pain you are experiencing.. But doesn't sound too worrisome

@shopaholic: I didn't use one but I know it's normal to have cramping or contractions because the uterus needs to shrink down to it's normal size.

IDK if it's because I've run out of my Norco prescription today, but I've been in terrible pain from my boobs, to my stomach, to even down there. Anyhow, my stomach pains are like the very strong "after pains" I had the first several days after birth. Major cramping kind of pains. Not sure if it's from lack of pain meds OR if it's from using my Belly Bandit (belly binder). I took it off, but it still hurts.
If you used a belly binder post partum, did it ever give you cramps or stomach aches?
