No I have terrible posture. I slouch or hunch even when I'm standing or walking! Oddly, I have a very strong core, but I just naturally slouch I guess. I blame it on the fact that I have a petite frame with big boobs, so they pull me forward, LOL. But really, when I'm walking around, they do strain my back unless I'm wearing a sports bra.

Not really. It's not great but not terrible when I am walking or standing, but sitting it's terrible. I have a weak core and upper back and it's caused back problems for me, so I'll get on a kick and do all my PT exercises and it really helps... then I get lazy.

Now pregnant I feel like I'm just walking around with my belly out all the time and obviously you can't really hold your stomach in!

no. i have a screwy spine though- a reverse curvature in my neck that has calcification fusing it that way, a floating chip out of a disk in my back, and one hip is higher than the other which causes an S curve in my back. when i went to a chiropractor for the first time & had x-rays done, he was horrified.

Not really. It crosses my mind every few minutes at work since I'm in a chair. But I hunch a lot.

We have desks that move up/down to stand or sit so it's nice to take breaks between the two.

@Pepper: Is it something you've always been aware of? Tried to correct? I became aware of posture really early on in life. Kind of weird, but my friends were all in ballet and would tell me how important posture was, and so I worked hard to make myself have good posture even though I wasn't in ballet (weirdo kid right here!)

@Mrsjets: You mean to tell me that after I give birth I still have to look forward to bad posture through breastfeeding! waaah! lol

I feel like i'm in a similar situation after having an unexpected c-section 6 weeks early. I was not ready to have my pregnancy be over. I was comfortable with how I looked and I hadn't gotten " too big" that I was uncomfortable either.
It all happened so fast and I feel like I just wasn't ready for my pregnancy to be over and to start being a mom. I kind of feel angry about it.
I'm sure I wouldn't have felt ready if I had made it to my due date, but I feel like I would have been in a better place mentally since that would have been when it was "supposed" to happen.

I remember the first night home from the hospital.. Eli was in the bedroom next door to us sleeping in his own crib with the doula in his room. I told my husband I really wish he was still in me so I would know that he is safe and warm and comfy... but I'm sure you'll forget about this feeling once your LO starts to smile and coo :)

It's really bad, but I know how you feel. It's bad for me because I had another complicated pregnancy, was in and out of the hospital, on bed rest for 13 weeks, and then had to be induced. So, I had two really difficult pregnancies, but I totally want to be pregnant again! I think I just want to have a normal pregnancy, wear cute maternity clothes, and have a baby shower.

Although I don't wish I was pregnant, I gave birth a week before Christmas and had been on bedrest since the week before Thanksgiving. I was thinking this opening about the next holiday and thought, "New Years", lol... I feel like I missed the holidays this year. I'm looking forward to him getting bigger (we're having weight gain issues) and celebrating holidays together.

I had my second baby, a girl, at the end of October and she was 9 days early and the labor was fast...like, got-to-the-hospital-30-minutes-before-having-her fast. Since it was just before Halloween and then we headed right into the holidays, I feel like I have been on a whirlwind and, yes - I know this sounds crazy, it seems like I skipped having her.

There is this weird part of me that wishes I was still pregnant. Partly because my body image when pregnant is 1000x better than when not. Partly because I miss the connection with my baby. And partly because it went so fast, I sort-of feel like I got gyped out of bonding birthing experience.

Anyone else ever feel this way?
