We had a chair that was attached to the table, so she couldn't climb into it herself. It would also strap to a chair, and we did that later because she was always pushing with her feet against the table, and I was afraid it would fall off the table one day. When we had it strapped to a chair, it was too low to be any use, so we put it on a box of jars and then strapped it to the chair. Then it was too high for her to climb into alone.

Good luck. Twins seems insane! Keep up the good work.

Oh man, I have no suggestions, because we just stopped using E's booster seat last weekend. He could also climb into it, and twice in two days he fell. The first time he wasn't strapped in, but the second time he was and was just moving around so much that he threw it off balance. He's sitting in a regular dining chair now, which has it's own challenges--like not wanting to stay sitting during a meal!

I'm hoping other bees have some better advice!

My twins (17 mos) have learned how to pull out our dining room chairs and crawl onto their booster seats. If they just sat down and waited patiently for their foods, (HA!), it would be easy, but my two prefer to goof around/stand/try to turn around. I watch them vigilantly and do my best to redirect or ask them to sit on their bottoms. Unfortunately, there are definitely times where I have my back turned, (like when I'm strapping in the other twin!). Today, DS climbed up and -- as I dashed over to get him -- he fell backward onto his head. He's fine, but...yeah.
Any ideas for what to do? Do you a high chair or booster chair that you think would help prevent this? Help!

@SAHM0811: @locavore_mama: @looch: We used the Bubble Bum, and I loved how convenient it was! I just inflated it right when we got to the rental agency, and it really came in handy since we had to haul DS's car seat and three pieces of luggage onto the rental car bus. DD also learned how to position the belt herself, and I double checked her every time. However, she fell asleep a lot on the trip, and there was nothing to "lean" on ... so she was falling asleep all over herself and in not the best positions. We'll definitely use it again on trips and in case she needs to ride in a friend's car, but not for every day use... Thumbs up from me!

We have the Bubble Bum! We used it a few times in cabs or for play dates. Love how portable it is... Did you end up using it?

@looch: I haven't either but it was rated pretty well by the car seat lady so I think I'm gonna give it a try.. The whole inflatable and fits in your purse feature is too tempting..I will let you know what I think!

I plan to get the Graco TurboBooster for that purpose when the time comes. I've never seen the Bubble Bum in person which is what is holding me back.

Does anyone have a recommendation on a travel friendly booster car seat? My 5 yr old is using a Britax Frontier and I'm not interested in lugging it on a plane cross country in an upcoming trip. I thought something like the Bubble Bum looked lightweight and portable for one-week use in a rental car. Would love to know if anyone has this or similar item...
