@MrsRcCar: I really want to be able to nurse too! Our issue was being in the NICU for 5 months and really needing to know how much he was taking in. Now he's on thickened formula for reflux. He can latch, but isn't really interested. I think my goal is to get to one bedtime nurse a day.

I wish that my son would nurse, but due to some physical issues it hasn't been working. We got his tongue tie fixed at 2 weeks old and his lip tie yesterday. He does latch with shields but gets upset because of his poor latch. Now that we have the physical things resolved I hope to nurse him a little more often. I am proud that I have managed to maintain my supply this long.

I pump 15-18 ounces while I'm at work. It's still not enough and I have to use my freezer stash! I also nurse her any time i'm home.

On my high producing days (mid first year to mid second year) I was pumping 12-14 oz per SESSION! At 21 months I was still getting 4-6 oz per session. I'm not sure what daily totals were as we mostly fed at the breast.

I don't know because I'm still on mat leave so I've never gone a full day of pumping. When I wake up in the morning I can pump 4-5 ounces off the breast LO doesn't nurse on.

@cascademom: My supply has taken a hit here and there. Just drink a ton of water and eat oatmeal. When it was really taking a hit I considered getting mmp but just upped my water intake. I credit a lot of my ability to pump as much as do to the hospital pump I had rented, plus staying on schedule.

I use to be able to pump about 15-20oz a day before going back to work. After going back my supply took a hit and I was able to pump about 16oz a day and now after getting over a cold and stomach bug I only produce about 4oz a day. So DD is getting 1 bottle of BM and then is supplemented with formula when she is with her babysitter. When she is with me or DH she gets BM.

I usually pumped about 35-38 oz per day until a week ago. Now I'm slowly weaning (and down to 3 pumps a day from 4) and I'm producing about 25 oz per day.

I used to get about 9 oz per session and now I'm down to 7.5!

Daily, it's about 8 (on a bad day like today) to 15 oz (a good day). I wished I pumped more when I was on mat leave, but didn't. I use MMP too. I think if I didn't, my supply would be low.

@MrsRcCar: WOW!!

I pump anywhere from 6-12 oz a day (we supplement with formula). Most of it goes to daycare for the following day and then the rest is frozen.

I have been pumping since day one, I have been pumping about 40 ounces a day since he was about 8 weeks old (DS is now 5 months today). The ability to pump this many ounces has given me a great freezer stash.

How many ounces do you pump a day?
