Thanks all. I didn't register online BUT i did send in the warranty card for the extended. So I sent them a whole email with video and will see what they say.

The issue with buying a used piece is, it's a Cameleon3 and older models won't work with our whees and seat, etc., AND, it's the entire chassis. So unless someone is selling the entire stroller at a ridiculously low price, it would make more sense to pay to replace the chassis.

Hopefully their customer service will come through.

I hate to be a downer, but I've found Bugaboo's customer service to be horrific. One of the clips on our seatbelt snapped, and coroner service's solution was that I buy a new seat for over $100 (to replace a cheap plastic clip).

If you are not under warranty, check your local mom's list service or Facebook buy/sell page. I see people offloading bits and pieces of their Cameleon on these all the time - that is how I replaced my seatbelt for a lot less money than gone by through bugaboo.

They have pretty good customer service. When we got ours, my husband thought the handle bar was really wobbly. I didn't think it was an issue, but he contacted them and they sent us a new one right away. We were under warranty.

I haven't had any problems with our frame, other than some squeaking (but that's because it needed a good cleaning). I would contact them and see what they say.

Did you register your stroller online with Bugaboo when you bought it? I registered mine and was able to find warranty info (we had 3 years) when I logged in. Our Bugaboo broke about a week after the warranty ran out. I didn't feel like it was safe to use. The store where we bought it repaired it for about €30, they lent us a stroller in the meantime, and it has been fine ever since.

So, today while taking a steep curb in my Bugaboo Cameleon, I heard a cracking noise and then the handle flopped down. I have been hearing clicks when I go over curbs occasionally, and this was a big one. It is not catching in the central locking mechanism, to the point where I can move the handle all the way forward, over the seat, so it's in the "off road position" without pressing down the white buttons.

I am frantically trying to find the receipt from purchase (Sept 2014) and hoping I have the extended 3 year warranty (I think I do?)

Questions-
-Has anyone dealt with this? A non-Bugaboo affiliated repair place said the only thing to do is replace the chassis ($400+) so I hope it's under warranty

-Is it unsafe to use in the meantime? The brake still works, I am just a little concerned about going over curbs. I need my stroller though! We live in the city and walk EVERYWHERE.

Oh man, this is a tough one. I would be pissed. Definitely go in there with receipts/proof of work and tell them to fix! It's tough since it's been 2 years but point out the issues (and any subsequent repairs) and see if they will set it straight! Then go from there after you see how they react.

2 years ago I was about 7 month pregnant and in a front end collision. I was expecting my car to be totaled low and behold the insurance company deemed it fixable. I was more concerned about getting over to the hospital to get checked out than, deciding where my car should be towed to. The tow driver took it to a body shop affiliated with a Kia Dealership (Its a Kia Soul). So when it was time to do the repairs I just let them handle it. It took over 8 weeks to get my car back and since then I've had problem after problem. I started taking to the affiliated Kia dealership for repairs to the issues the body shop caused most of which were repaired under my warranty. The body shop put part of my car back together with electrical tape!

So for the last couple months I've been having issues with my front driver side turn signal working intermittently which is the same area where I was hit and everything was supposedly replaced. I took it to the Kia dealership and I'm out of warranty, I took it to my mechanic and he checked everything and thinks I need the whole head lamp replaced. My bumper is not aligned properly and all the paint is chipping off the hood of my car (also both done by the body shop). I called my insurance and asked them to have an adjuster call me to see what recourse I had, he went to the original body shop to speak with them. His response was to go back to them to have them resolve the issues, they guaranteed the work, not the ins company.

The more I learn about these people the more I distrust them and realize what a shady operation they are running. I'm supposed to bring my car there tomorrow and they of course are giving me the same BS run around they gave the first time. Don't have my paperwork, didn't know there was in issue, the guy I spoke with never spoke with the guy I'm supposed to meet with tomorrow, etc.

I kinda feel like I need to go in there tomorrow with (pretend) guns ablazing... But I also really need to get my car fixed and cant afford to spend the money at the mechanic when they should stand by their work. Is there a better way?

TL:DR - Shady body shop screwed me over 2 years ago and now I have to go back there tomorrow and I cant deal with their BS. Tactics?

Bonus - We're hoping to trade-in this car in the next couple of months and i know I wont get full value with the issues it currently has

Our LO is not that little....last summer (she was 7 at the time) had a friend over and were playing on the trampoline. Which of course has a safety net. There was a small hole in the net and the two girls thought it would be fun to pull on it and make the whole bigger. In which after some effort I am sure it finally ripped. So then they bounced around holding it singing "rip, rip, make it rip" She may have thought it was fun then, but def NOT fun when she got into trouble and no longer has a trampoline. She thought we could "just get a new one". NOPE- ONE buying just a replacement net cost over half what I paid for it when I bought it new, TWO thats not the point and we are pretty firm in having respect for your toys and the things you are priveleged to have. I could NOT beleive she did that. Sooooo out of character for her but we made darn sure she learned from it!

When I was posting earlier, my LO tugged at my laptop screen. I didn't realize it until I closed it and set it down, but the little booger broke the hinge on my MacBook! I'm taking it to Apple tomorrow and sure hope they don't charge me to repair it because I know it will probably cost a ton if they do!

Has your LO ever gotten their little hands on something expensive or dangerous and damaged it?
