I was nervous to go in for my first appointment because I figured my doc would tell me how I should have waited, but he said by 6 months pp I should be completely healed and am fine. The issue was the extra skin. I still to this day have a small flap of skin that hangs, but my stomach is flat again. At this point, you still have some belly and some loose skin. My skin significantly tightened up between 8-12 weeks.
