@Tanjowen: Ah I forgot about the eating. You're probably right to be worried. My son was still gnawing at things at 1, but my daughter had stopped by then!

@Mrs. High Heels: I have a question about the crayons. I would love to get him some art stuff, but I feel he'd just eat them all. Do they actually use the crayons around 1 year old?

Her first Christmas (she was ten months) Santa provided a bath book and bath balls, socks, a baby toothbrush, a box of diaper bags for on the go disposal and a window shade. I think a dollar store onesie and bib too.

@photojane: I was just at TJ Maxx and Marshall's, nada :/ I'll check in a few weeks, they are such perfect stocking stuffers, the girls are getting some little people sets from my parents and one from Santa so this will be the perfect filler.

@regberadaisy: LP are the best. I gave them to Sadie at 10 months last Christmas and she has played with them everyday since. She's 20 months now, and will definitely be playing with them for a lot longer!

@Bao: Do you have a Ross or Marshall's? They have them too! Check back at TJ Maxx next month too. They up their toy supply closer to Christmas!

They sell little tubes of 2-3 little people at TJ Maxx that fit perfectly into stockings! Crayons, stickers, and bubbles are also good, cheap options!

@regberadaisy: Hahaha, I think my son would cut off his own arm for Puffs. Not a bad idea :)

@Raindrop: No shunning - I have the feeling my LO will be more into tearing up the wrapping paper and trying to eat it than anything he actually receives for Christmas.

This is super lame and I might be shunned... but we just put his current toys in the stocking... also we wrapped his current toys in boxes for him to open on xmas.

We did this because LO is the first baby in the family so we knew he would get a lot of stuff and we didn't think we needed to add on to that and we thought he wouldn't really care. He seemed to have a lot of fun with opening the new and not new stuff. Haha.

When he's older I know we can't get away with that but I think we can get away with this for a few more years.

LO will be 15 months at Christmas & I think we are putting snacks & hot wheels in her stocking. She LOVED driving little cars around!

Our LO will turn 1 years old right before Christmas. We do a tradition of opening stockings Christmas Eve, and I did find a light up bouncy ball for him and then promptly ran out of creative ideas. :P Any ideas appreciated!
