I had this happen to me 2x before I was completely done. I had to pump it out for it to go away.

I had a similar problem. I was only nursing 1x a day before I weaned but the transition was harder than I expected. it got worse before it got better and I definitely had a lump for a few days (and was very uncomfortable for a while generally). I used heat, massage and some hand expression. I was on vacation so no option to pump (and REALLY didn't want to also). I also took some Sudafed which can have a drying effect. it all worked itself out, but if it continues to get worse or more painful I would call your OB to ask for advice.

I pumped for the very last time last week on Sunday (9 days ago). I had only been pumping 1x a day (no bf'ing) getting about 3-4 ounces for about 3 weeks. So my supply was really low.

Just last night, I started to feel a lump. It's not quite painful, I can just tell it's there and it's slightly uncomfortable. Do you think I need to do anything about it? Will it work itself out since I have weaned? Can I massage and heat without pumping? I haven't had mastitis and don't want it now!
