My first time on Clomid I had no side effects but definitely O'd (confirmed with OPKs and temping). I took it midday (50mg). I also have PCOS and long cycles.

@ineebee: I will be doing OPKs starting on Monday and I have been temping. I'm like you, I need to know what is going on! My temping is hard because I'm a frequent waker and I work 3 overnights a week so my temps are usually off the wall. But yes to OPKs and temping!

@bhbee: I'm glad to hear I'm not alone in this! I take my last dose tonight and it's the first dose I am taking while at work (I conveniently had the other 4 nights off) so I hope the side effects while awake aren't too awful...

@Mrs.Panda: night sweats / hot flashes were my only symptom I remember so I bet that's what caused it. I had them while taking it and end of cycle too

@Mrs.Panda: First of all, I love your avatar! Second of all, yes, I ovulated with Clomid, even though there were no other side effects! I also have PCOS and I wasn't ovulating prior to taking the medication. I had two unmonitored cycles with Clomid, so I'm not sure about the ovulation there, but for the last four cycles, I was getting the full work-up and I was ovulating beautifully. The only side effect I got, I think, was a thinner than usual lining, but that was only on cycle #5 on Clomid.

Have you considered OPKs or charting to check to see if you're going to ovulate/have ovulated (respectively)? For a control freak like me who needs to know what's going on, those two things have been so unbelievably helpful.

@Mrs. Jump Rope: So that means you must have O'd on Monday night or Tuesday morning? Still very new to this whole thing. That's exciting! Hope you caught your egg! I checked my cervix (TMI warning) and it is a little higher and softer than yesterday with creamy CM rather than sticky like the day before. Hopefully those are good signs asi take my last pill tonight and hypothetically should O next week sometime. Or later who knows with this PCOS.

@Mrs.Panda: FWIW, on Monday I got a neg OPK in the morning but a + at 8:30pm. I still had a + the next morning when I went in for my bloodwork, which also confirmed the surge.

It was - again Tuesday night!

@Mrs. Jump Rope: I'm so glad to hear it worked for you even with minimal side effects! I haven't noticed my attitude changing, but then again who would have the balls to tell me lol. I am unmonitored for 3 cycles with clomid so I am just doing OPKs and temping.

@Mrs.Panda: I took my Clomid at night this past cycle, and my only side effects was being a bitch. I couldn't even stand to be by myself. I didn't have any physical side effects, though.

I also worried that it wouldn't work, I ended up with two mature follicles!

So you already ovulated before going on the Clomid? I'm not sure if I ever did, if so I'm sure it was infrequent. Last night I woke up in a hot flash, sweating like crazy! I don't know if it had to do with my dogs laying too close to me (they don't usually sleep with us) or the Clomid. Hope it was the meds!

I'm on my second cycle of Clomid and have had zero side effects. I took them 5-9 and the first month I ovulated on CD18. This cycle, it's CD24 and I still haven't ovulated yet, though I think I just got a positive OPK today. My natural cycles, I O anywhere from 22-29, so I'm not even convinced Clomid is doing anything for me.

Has anyone ever been on Clomid and experienced few to no side effects but still ovulated?

I have PCOS and my cycles can go for months before I get my own period so I am not sure if I ovulate or not. If I do, it is very late and far between, usually prompting me to take Provera to bring on AF. I am on my first cycle of Clomid 50mg and have been taking it at night to avoid side effects, but part of me kind of wants some so I know if it is even working!

So, any Clomid bees ovulate with few to no side effects?
