DD liked to be touching me when she slept and the stiff sides on it made it awkward/uncomfortable for me to drape my arm over it. I think the firmness of the mattress could also affect how well it works because the co-sleeper is super light. When we had a less firm, more worn in mattress, and the co-sleeper was between us, it would tilt toward my husband's side when he laid down because he's a lot heavier than I am. So DD would kind of roll. I just sold it, actually. Have you looked into something like an Arm’s Reach cosleeper or a Halo Bassinest? I do not want to spend a ton of money because I intend to only use it for the first 6 weeks or so, but want something safe and comfortable. I used a bassinet with my first and hated having to get out of bed to lift him out every 2 hours. </p> <p>We have a king sized bed, so size is not an issue.
